Notable Events of Criminal Case
As the profiler of the Supreme Police, Yumi's job is to analyze physical objects and/or clues that cannot be analyzed flawlessly through bio-forensics or digital analysis, but instead through psychological analysis, and to return the results after a certain amount of time.
Below is the list of analyses Yumi performs throughout the course of the game:
Case #1: The Shattered Crown
- Message (03:00:00)
- Death Threat (12:00:00)
Case #2: As Above, So Below
- Poem (12:00:00)
Case #3: Guten Dead
- Text (12:00:00)
Case #7: Burning Embers
- Coded Note (03:00:00)
As of the release of the World Edition, the player may choose Yumi to join the investigation of each crime scene (in any World Edition case) and provide hint bonuses. She is available as a 3-hint partner. (Note that this feature is only available on the mobile version of the game.)
- Yumi surprisingly revealed herself to be LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) in The Shattered Crown when her partner meets the player via SkyType, making her the only main character to have an LGBT orientation.
- She also happens to be one of the LGBT characters featured in the game.
- Although Bodhi repeatedly attempts to make Yumi fond of Sudoku puzzles, she is heavily skilled in another Japanese activity: origami.
- Yumi is frustrated when Marina steals her copies of Profiler Weekly.
As one of the main characters and the profiler of the Supreme Police, Yumi appears in any World Edition case in which a clue requires psychological analysis.
