Tristan became part of the murder investigation when the team found a letter at the construction site. It had been written by Tristan and was adressed to James Robbast, the victim. In the letter, Tristan said that James would be fired if he didn't start working better. He was interrogated one more time when his gloves were found at the victim's house. He said he had been there to visit James' brother, William Robbast, because he wanted to get a job at the construction site too. He was free of any suspicion after the actual killer was arrested.
