The Ghost of Waterborough is a case featured in Criminal Case as the thirty-fourth case of Season 1, and the thirty-fourth case of the game. It takes place in Old Town district of Waterborough.

Chief Diaz sent Dunkin, Pearson, and the player to a workshop, where they collected the body of a painter named Cannon Reynolds, who dropped dead as he was finishing a painting of The Mad Pilgrim. As the workshop was locked from the inside, Bonnie panicked and thought the victim was murdered by the ghost of the Mad Pilgrim.

Mid-investigation, someone was running around the police station screaming, prompting Bonnie to concluded that it was the Mad Philgrim. the found enough evidence to arrest wealthy collector Christopher Robles for the murder.

Upon admitting to the murder,Christopher stated that he was getting poorer day by day. He then thought of killing Cannon so he could spread the rumor of the ghost of The Mad Pilgrim and make profit by selling the original portrait of it. Just as Cannon finished the Pilgrim's eyes, he released an ampule containing a quickly-degrading neurotoxin into the locked room through the window to give the illusion of the Pilgrim killing the painter, thereby increasing the value of the painting. Judge Raymond sentence Christopher to 16 years in prison, with a chance of parole in 10 years.
