The Center of Everything is a case featured in Criminal Case where it appears as the fifth case in The Light and the Void, serving as the fifth case of Outer Space.

Plot

Everything was a smokescreen; we were so focused on finding out the truth that we let the real problem grow right in front of our eyes. How could we be so dumb?

(Three Weeks Before)

Here we are, Shyne... The capital of the Light and our next stop on our plan to stop the Void. We've been here for two hours and we're still on the waiting list to talk with The Light Sage so, the team decided to go and explore a bit of the city while we wait.

We went and visited the Light temple, the place where the Light prism is kept (before, I move forwards with the story let me tell you what are the prisms: before the Rift, the Equilibrium was controlled by a shiny prism, however, once the Rift happened the prism split into two parts: the Light prism and the Void prism) and as we were leaving the temple, guess what we found? A dead body, of course.

The victim was a woman named Rath Baye, the keeper of the Light temple and she was found dead with her head bashed in; as usual, we sent the body back to the cruiser so AC-73 could do the autopsy; during that, he discovered that the woman was killed using a moon rock, a rock extracted from the Zoth moon system.

Throughout the day, we collected evidence that led us to five individuals, including some familiar faces:

-Oona Kahn - the Light sage; was caught on the investigation because of a recent meeting he had with the victim; told us to meet him after the investigation to discuss the plan to stop The Void and Andromeda;

-Nik Beye - the victim's husband; was one of the security officers tasked with protecting the Light Sage; informed us that his wife had been acting strangely for the past few months since she started working on the Light temple;

-Verena Varless - the pilot we met back in Dandoran's Space Array; she traveled to Zoth to pursue a lead on a powerful artifact she had been searching for a long time; that powerful artifact has been identified as the Chalice of Impyhr, an ancient relic from the times of the universe's birth; the location of that artifact has been identified as the temple of Light, the victim's workplace;

-Li Kimer - the lightkeeper we met back on our first case; came back to Zoth to report his finding during his missions; told us he managed to retrieve some information about Andromeda; he said that rumors were circulating saying the Andromeda project had been finished and that The Void was just waiting for the main power source to activate it at the Ball of the Stars;

-Rynon Xen - the escaped convict we met back in Dandoran; was hiding with a disguise in the city center; told us he wanted to help us on our quest to stop the Void and wanted to become a Light agent; not sure, if we can trust him;

With every clue and evidence analyzed, we were able to apprehend Rynon Xen as our murderer; Rynon admitted to the murder saying that our victim had been conspiring with The Void and that she was acting as a mole and helping with the construction of Andromeda.

After that whole affair was finished, we finally met with The Light Sage to discuss our plan to stop Andromeda from taking place; the high priest of Light told us that our plan was the only solution to stop the universe from being corrupted by the Void's powers.

With the Light Sage's approval, we began preparations setting an interplanetary portal that would send us from Shyne to Derkar; once there, I and Ace would infiltrate into the temple of the Void and try and find a way to shut down Andromeda.

Saying goodbye to the rest of the team, me and Ace jumped into the portal... traveling from a place of light to a place of pure darkness.

The final stage of our plan has finally begun. Are you ready for what comes next?
