Plot[]

Previously, after the team made the heartbreaking arrest of psychiatric patient Miguel Esposito after he ultimately snapped and killed corrupt businessman Henry Moody who tortured him, they also discovered the troubled and tragic past of harlot Molly Greene after she killed Alden Black who had stalked and harmed her for most of her teen and adult life. Later on, Emily had bolted into the station to find Vanessa who had angrily stormed out of the station where they later found her in the headquarters of Toomeswood Newscasting System (TNS) arguing with her father, hunter Paul Campbell who once again threatened to harm Miguel which enraged the senior detective who pointed her gun at the hunter only for the enraged Paul to disarm her with his rifle and pistol whip her in the face before shooting her in her knee where her prosthetic leg was connected before driving away. Before Vanessa could catch up to her father, the player heard a woman screaming from one of TNS's studios where they found the corpse of controversial talk show host Dora Mu backstage and Vanessa's hysterical mother, housewife Madeline Campbell who was the one that screamed before she mended Vanessa's leg.

Mid-investigation, Vanessa and the player were called to stop a shooting which was caused by none other than her younger sister, hunter Belinda Campbell as she had been hired by Toomeswood Newscasting System head of security, Angela Palmieri in order to try to have Dora's show cancelled. Madeline who chastised Vanessa earlier on in the investigation for having provoked Paul, chastised Vanessa again for Belinda being incensed, fearing that the senior detective would be shot again.

Later on in the investigation, the team not only had to deal with a drunken and angry Paul who screamed at and tried to assault Madeline over giving away a bologna sandwich but there was a swarm of angry fans who demanded justice for Dora's murder. Although, Emily and Jordan had tried to calm down Dora's fans with Jane's help, Angela however worsened the situation when she screamed at the angry mob and threatened to send security after the mob. In the end, Angela was arrested for Dora's murder.

Angela initially tried to deny involvement and tried to play up her position as the head of security for the Toomeswood Newscasting System. However, after Vanessa who was on edge over her family managed to crack down on the TNS head of security, Angela snapped at the senior detective and insisted that Dora deserved her death as she blamed her late sister, dancer Stella Palmieri's appearance on the show for her life going downhill. Angela explained that her colleagues stopped respecting her and the head of security was sent into a rage when it was discovered that Toomeswood Newscasting System would make Dora's show primetime which would make Angela's job harder. Deciding she had enough of the controversial talk show host, Angela had secretly hired Belinda to shoot the set before killing Dora in order to have Dora's show cancelled. The disgusted Vanessa didn't hesitate to send the disgraced head of security to trial.

In court, Angela tried to claim innocence and went as far as trying to pin the blame on not only Madeleine but Serena Baltimore and Reggie Cobb as well. However, Angela's brother, biker Jonathan Palmieri lambasted her for feigning her innocence. Even after being called out for trying to frame three of the other suspects, Angela tried several other excuses such as the case being full of irregularities, claiming insanity and claiming self defense. However, Judge Whiterock refused to listen to any of Angela's claims as it was proven that Dora's murder was premeditated and Vanessa even managed to convince Belinda to corroborate the evidence which sent Angela in a rage. When Angela begged for the case to be dropped, Judge Whiterock simply sentenced her to life imprisonment without parole, enraging Angela.

After the trial, Jonathan and his girlfriend, dancer Martha Moody wanted to plan a surprise for Vanessa in order to lift up her spirits after Miguel's arrest and having been shot by her father. Martha blindfolded Vanessa and lead her to Dora's trailer where the surprise was none other than Miguel disguised as an elderly woman who was bailed out of the psychiatric hospital by none other than Jonathan himself. After the two had kissed, Madeline who took an immediate admiration towards Miguel along with stripper Elanna Esposito had walked in the two kissing, however, Vanessa's prosthetic leg came loose causing the senior detective to bleed out. While Miguel along with Jonathan and Martha decided to stay by Vanessa's side, Elanna and Madeline accompanied the player to find a first aid kit so that the senior detective's prosthetic leg could be healed without coming off. Vanessa explained to the curious Elanna that she had lost her leg after it got stuck on a train track while walking her dog who was shot dead by Paul after Vanessa was brought home by Sherriff Allan Cobb.

Before Vanessa could continue telling her story any further, a panicked Serena Baltimore who offered to pay for the studio flatscreen TV she smashed, ran to the team concerned about her best friend notary Reggie Cobb's well being. The team investigated the Toomeswood Newscasting System main lobby where they found a broken window with Reggie's blood. Afterwards, Vanessa and the player found Reggie who had been in a physical altercation with his father in law, golfer Doug Spraghopper after the notary lashed out at the golfer's wife, saleswoman Melissa Spraghopper after the couple had lambasted him for having moved on from their daughter, Molly Cobb's murder. Reggie angrily asserted himself that he still mourned for Molly with each passing day and even avenged her death after killing Marcia Salvatore. However, the obnoxious Spraghopper couple refused to listen to Reggie's story but Reggie decided that he was done trying to make amends with his in-laws, realizing that he never measured up to their standards even when Molly was alive despite the fact that Reggie and Molly truly loved each other no matter what.

Later on, the late exotic dancer Juliette Bineaux's mother, jeweller Eliza Bineaux was discovered crying out of distress as her daughter's spirit would not rest in peace. Vanessa who wanted to get her mind off her father, decided to find Juliette and try to reason with her so she could rest in peace. Vanessa investigated the backstage buffet table where they found a silver ankh which was of great sentimental value to Juliette. When Eliza begged for her daughter's spirit to finally rest, Juliette insisted that she could not rest until she knew that Miguel and Reggie were safe and sound along with prostitute Todd Merowitz and wrestler Abner Milton. She recounted having seen a horrific vision of the four men being electrocuted and disentigrated to flying skeletons while Juliette herself was tortured to death and attacked by several bats. When Vanessa informed Juliette of disgraced defense attorney Kelly Parker's identity as the Second Horseman, Lady Death, Juliette was beside herself with rage but unsurprised that Kelly had been Lady Death despite having not actually seen Kelly but instead a female grim reaper. Juliette also revealed that she had seen a giant bat like creature that bit her neck before Kelly abducted her and tortured her to death. Jonathan decided to invite the four surviving men to a guys night out at a steakhouse and drinks where they also held an informal funeral for Juliette. Miguel recounted all the times that Juliette had been a huge emotional support for Elanna during the stripper's toughest times. Reggie recounted Juliette having been Molly's best friend and having been her maid of honor at their wedding. Abner remembered Juliette's bravery as she had often stood her ground against the Latimore family. Todd also remembered Juliette's dedication to stopping the drug crisis that Kelly had created. The four surviving men along with Jonathan raised their glasses in honor of Juliette, allowing her to finally rest in peace.

Later on, Reggie had given Vanessa and Jordan one of Darcy Keller's drugs that had taken them back to 1998. Jordan had arrived to the high school where they were stopped by Coach Gerald Deckerton, however he was stopped by Principal Seamus Scott. When Jordan had arrived at Principal Scott's office, recounting to him about Darcy's party, he decided to call her to his office to discuss the party. Darcy had tried to tell Principal Scott about her and her classmates' predictions of the The Four Horsemen only for Coach Deckerton to counter that Darcy had been on drugs. Jordan however intervened and countered to the coach that Darcy was clean and if people were planning on causing destruction to the community that it should be taken seriously. Principal Scott decided that while he believed Darcy, they needed to take precautions before anything can be done.

Afterwards, Oliver had informed the team that there was not only a serious traffic accident involving a reckless driver in the district but car dealership owner Kent Millhouse had been murdered.
