—Case Teaser

She Blinded Me With Science is a case featured in Criminal Case as the one-hundred and seventy-ninth case of the game. It is the sixty-fourth case of The Mystery and the sixth case in Horizon Station.

After the player and Major received a call from the Pyromaniac known as Chelsea Chapman that was cut short after Chelsea was heard screaming, Erika then tracked down Chelsea's phone signal to a secret laboratory. Diana, Major and the player then hurried to the laboratory on Chief Tempest's orders, where they found a bruised, bloodied and unconscious Chelsea Chapman next to the eyeless corpse of Gaulstone Cult criminal mystic Ina Landry. They then got Chelsea back to the station, before she woke up and saw the detectives and her brother Jack at her bedside, before she confessed she didn't know who killed Ina, but she knew that Ina had attacked her. Ethan then revealed the killer had manually removed Ina's eyeballs. The player and Diana then investigated Ina's hideout in Memorial Avenue, soon finding clues to question reformed gangster Rupert Butler, prop maker Bart Valliant and herbalist Darina Lombardi about the murder. Soon after, Major told them that a van transporting a series of prisoners connected with the Cult and its members to another prison just outside of the city, including Chelsea, had been attacked by the Beast.

The player, Major and Diana then headed to where the prisoner van had been attacked, outside a temple that Major recognized was a temple where his deceased father would pray and speak to his ancestors. Major then surveyed the scene, discovering the deceased bodies of Dakota Kennedy, Nia Jelani and Mirembe Adebayo amongst the remaining alive prisoners. Diana and the player investigated the scene, where the duo found clues to suspect extradited Warrenville convict and the victim's cellmate Sabrina Ballard and the deceased Jordan Brown's acolyte Gianna de Valz in the murder. They then discovered that Chelsea had been followed by Ina in prison, Bart had made a voodoo doll of Ina and that Darina and Ina had an argument before Ina was arrested for her crimes. Soon after, Major then told them that the attacked prisoners were safely transported to the prison outside of the city before they learned that Ina had left them a message. They then learned from Ina's message that the Cult was nearing their plans, and that someone had the key to the Cult's biggest plan. They then learned that Sabrina wished for Ina's death, Gianna believed Ina to be worthless to the Cult and that Rupert was in a relationship with Ina. In the end, the player and Diana found enough evidence to incriminate Darina for the murder.

The detectives confronted Darina about Ina's murder and the herbalist initially denied the murder, telling them that she would never commit such a horrible crime. Soon she cracked and confessed to the murder, telling them that she had to get back at Ina for what she did to her life. Darina then confessed that she had a husband who was killed in one of the Pyromaniac's bombings. She mourned and grieved her deceased husband, before the police had found out Chelsea as the one behind the bombings. She then found peace in the Pyromaniac's arrest, before she escaped prison a few weeks before, and the herbalist swore to get the Pyromaniac caught. However, Darina found the Pyromaniac in the laboratory, and learned her story of Ina abusing her and forcing her into the arson plot, which caused Darina to sympathize with the heartbroken woman. They then heard footsteps coming as Chelsea called the police and Chelsea told Darina to hide, before the herbalist watched Ina attack Chelsea, her screams echoing. Darina then snapped in a fit of rage and struck Ina in the head with a wrench and clawed at Ina's eyes, ripping them out. They then arrested Darina, who had accepted her fate, before they took her to trial, where Judge Brighton found it suitable to sentence Darina to twenty years in prison for the murder. Afterwards, Chelsea told them that she remembered something about the Alpha's plan.

Chelsea then told the detectives that she remembered that Ina was talking about "some big plan" the Alpha had when she was held hostage by Ina and Kendra. She then suggested that they search Ina's hideout to find out more. Major and the player then searched the hideout, soon finding a sheet of paper on a shelf. The player then revealed the faded information, soon revealing a series of numbers. Erika then revealed to the trio of detectives that the numbers were actually a series of codes set for power stations across the city, before Joshua revealed that the ink was printer ink, meaning it was a copy. This reveal then led Major to deduce that the Cult could be trying to take control of the power to make the city bend to their will. They then informed Interim Mayor Nancy Teagan, who told them that she would try to make sure the power is kept under the city's control before thanking the player.

Meanwhile, Diana and the player confronted Gianna about the Cult's plans since she was connected due to Jordan Brown's influence on her. Gianna then reluctantly told them that she had been to the secret laboratory where they found Ina's corpse and Chelsea beaten up. The acolyte then told them that the laboratory was used for the Cult's plans, which she refused to disclose to the team. Diana and the player then decided to use what Gianna had disclosed and investigated the secret laboratory, where they found a smashed clipboard. They then restored the clipboard to see a series of shipment details on the clipboard's notes. Alexandra then revealed that the shipments had similar shipment numbers to the nanobots that killed policeman Gunter Eike. She then told them that the shipment notes didn't say anything about what were in them, but the French word for "The Silence" was emblazoned in the top corner. They then confronted Elisabeth, who told them it was a serum to make the recruits they had recruited more faster and stronger. She then laughed, telling them that they would never find the shipments and that Rosenoque would soon be theirs to control. Major then denied Elisabeth's words, telling her that she would be the one to fall.

After all the events, Jack came to the detectives, telling them that he had appealed to Judge Brighton and that Denise had approved his appeal to get Chelsea released after all the work she did to help the police since her arrest. He then asked the detectives to help him track down Chelsea's possessions, Major and the player soon finding them amongst the remains of the crashed prison van. The player and Jack then told Chelsea of her release, and Jack then told his sister that he was helping her and his family move back to their hometown of Warrenville, the city recovering from The Conductor's actions on Warrenville, so they could rebuild their lives after their adventures in Berrini and in Rosenoque. Chelsea then hugged her brother and thanked the team for everything, before Chelsea stepped out of the station, enjoying her first moments of true freedom at last.

Afterwards, the player, Major and Diana spoke to Chief Tempest, who told the team that they were closing in on the Cult's plans and that they needed to catch the Wind and Kendra, so they could stop the Alpha and their plans.

Meanwhile, someone is standing on a ledge, watching their prey, as a boulder tumbles onto their victim, the boulder crushing the legs. The person watching then jumps down to see their victim, bashing their victim in with a weapon, blood splattering the green grass, until the victim's last breath has drawn and exhaled. The now guilty killer then sighed as they then walk away, the heel of a boot crushing a pair of glasses as they walked away from the scene...
