Notable Events of Rusthollow
Shane first met the player during the interrogation of Scott Bristow's killer. Shane told the player and Jayden Chase that he believed the killer was suffering from severe memory loss. He then helped the killer make a confession.
As the Profiler of the Rusthollow Justice Divison, Shane has the responsibility of analyzing physical objects and/or clues that cannot be analyzed flawlessly through bio-forensics or digital analysis, but instead through psychological analysis, and to return the results after a certain amount of time or a speed-up process using Criminal Case Cash. His task-wait rates vary depending on the difficulty of the task, but they all cost 1 Criminal Case Cash per 30 minutes.
Below is the list of analyses Shane performs throughout the course of the game:
Case #2: Burn the Midnight Oil
- Vowel Sheet (06:00:00)
Case #4: Eye for an Eye
- Threatening Writing (02:00:00)
The player may choose Shane to join the investigation of each crime scene (in any case in Rusthollow) and provide hint bonuses. He is available as a 3-hint partner. (This feature is only available in the mobile variant of Criminal Case.)
