Secret Knocks The Door is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the fifth case as well as the city of Alpha Bay, and the fifth one to take place in the Street Valley district.

Plot

While Aiden was talking with the player about the gang war, a CCN reporter named Louis Leroux informed them that there was a murder at the CCN HQ. Hearing that the team didn't hesitate to go there and discovered a CCN journalist named Riban Priest lying dead beside a smashed computer with blood all over his head.

The autopsy results showed that Riban was knocked out with a blunt object, such as a teapot and then was hit with the computer. The player & Aiden then registered the smashed computer as the murder weapon.

The team talked with Louis who informed the murder. Louis said the victim was a very lazy person and had never finished any work in time. He also said that he had interests in work when it was only about any girl. Then they talked with Rachel Priest, the victim's sister who told them even though her brother was such a bad journalist, they had to bring his killer to justice. Per Rachel, they investigated the Railway Station where the victim spent a lot of time and got two more suspects, actress Felicia Steppingstone and Mayor Drew Winston. Felicia became quite relieved to hear the news as Riban was stalking her for months and publishing fake stories which were as well very much erotic. Additionally, the victim even humiliated the Mayor in public without any reason which made him eager to take revenge at any cost.

After a quick recap, they went to the backstreet following the Chief's orders. They got Nina Madison, the victim's girlfriend as a suspect who said that she predicted that something was going to happen as Riban was investigating about a dangerous subject. After that when they went back to the HQ, they found out that Drew banned Riban from journalism for the humiliation. They also found out that Rachel wanted the victim to be fired from CCN for his nasty behaviour.

Per a USB stick, the team came to know the victim was trying to reveal a shady business organized by The Flames, even it was his last investigation and the first on which he paid his attention. But as the killer erased all the data, they couldn't get the full story. They interrogated Louis again as the victim tried to publish a story which Louis got after his hard work and overtime, Feliicia was also interrogated again as she went to CCN HQ to confront the victim right before he died. When they got all the evidence, they arrested Nina for the murder.

Assuming Nina was a member of The Flames, they asked her if that was the reason to kill her boyfriend. Nina said the victim was trying to reveal their gang's secret business and as a member she couldn't let that happen. One day the victim came to know that she was a member of Flames and wanted to get all the information by forcing her. Nina broke up with her then and when she got a chance she came to CCN HQ and hacked his computer, erased all the data on that process. But Riban saw it and started to fight with her. This made Nina kill him for her gang's sake. At the trial, Judge Powell asked her to co-operate in order to get a short sentence. But as she didn't, she was sentenced to life in jail with no chance for parole.

Post-trial, Chief asked the team to question Diego as he was seen sneaking around the backstreet. After the team demanded answers from him he said that he was trying to put an end to all the war and was helping ABPD. They investigated the backstreet and found out that Roger challenged Salvador openly. After questioning Roger they told Diego to stop sneaking around as he was too much suspicious. They then found a picture of Fredo and Salvador fighting. Per Fredo, they came to know about an uncharted territory. Rachel said them about the place that no one knew about the place and that place was known to be dangerous. It was also known that Fredo was not wanting the war but couldn't stop Salvador. After doing all these things, Troy appeared before them and told that there was a murder at the Botanical garden.
