Runaway Witch is an case in Criminal Case that is set to be featured as the fifty-eighth case of Season 1 and the fifty-eighth case in the series overall. It takes place in the Colonial Peak district of Waterborough.

 Plot

In the Waterborough election day, Chief Diaz sent the player and Dunkin to the red party offices,

☀ Jordan noticed of mayoral candidate Nathaniel Norman’s absence and asked Leigh and the player to accompany him to look for him inside the Blue Party offices. However, they found Nathaniel murdered inside his party offices, shot right between his eyes.

in a shocking turn of events, former chief Bruce Dinsmore turned out to be Nathaniel's killer.

Upon discovery of Bruce being the killer, the player took Tony and Courtney to the Chief's office to arrest Bruce, but Tony did not understand the reason as to why, but also refused to think Bruce would kill anyone. Much to Tony' disbelief, a guilty Bruce confessed that he indeed killed Nathaniel Norman. Tony still refused to believe it, and Courtney accused her of doing it to help the mayor. Bruce countered that it had nothing to do with him. Jones went ahead and demanded answers from his former boss, which included explaining to Judge Hall why he did it. Bruce refused to comply, telling his team to find their own answers as he pointed a gun at his head. Jones told Bruce not to commit suicide as punishment for Nathaniel's murder, but Bruce felt that he had no choice and ends up shooting himself to death in a tragic outcome.

In the case's finale, Ebenezer Edmiston, a man who was known as Bruce's friend in his youth told the team (inside the police station) to go to the natural harbor in Colonial Peak and grab digging tools in order to seek the truth behind the murders happening in Waterborough. Thus, the team proceeded to Colonial Peak to investigate the natural harbor and eventually find out as to why Samuel committed suicide to avoid indictment, and it would also take the team some investigation before they find the reasons for Adam being murdered.
