Razor Sharp is a case featured in Criminal Case as the two-hundred and first case of the game. It is the twentieth case of Mystical Investigations and the fourth case in the Blaze Canyon district of Maplemoor.

Plot

After a long day of investigating, Krystal and the player decided to visit a nearby shipyard to check if its residents had seen anything recently. However, as they entered, they discovered the deceased body of boat carpenter Peter Moore who looked like he had been eaten alive. Upon sending the body to Ariella, she was able to confirm that he had been torn apart by a chupacabra but couldn't discover if he had been targetted or simply unlucky. With a potential blood-thirsty monster on the loose, the duo quickly suspected chupacabra owner Alejandra Estevez, lunatic vampire Ursula, ghost hunter Oscar Kirk (who wasn't happy to see the team after they arrested his brother) as well as warlock Christopher Flores. Back at the station, they were informed that something ressembling a chupacabra had been seen in a nearby abandoned farm!

Arrived at the farm, they were unable to find whatever the sighting at been. Still on the hunt for the creature, they added hiker Olive Jenkins and nâga cop Darren Simamora to the suspects. The team then discovered that Alejandra had threaten the victim in the past, claiming she would feed him to her chupacabra while Oscar had gotten into a physical argument with Peter over his brother's actions, resulting in a restraining order to be putted on the ghost hunter. They also found out about Christopher's hatred toward the boat carpenter after his work had caused Flores's boyfriend to almost get injured. Back at the precinct, the team soon learned that someone was at the farm, holding their potential murder weapon!

Arriving back at the farm, they were shocked to find Kaitlyn peacefully petting a blood-covered chupacabra like it was some kind of new pet she had discovered. After bringing their lore expert as well as the murder weapon back at the station, the duo discovered that Ursula had been chased away from the victim's property after she caused a literal bloody mess due to her thirst for blood and that Olive had stolen some valuables tools from Peter to pay for some unknown stuff that she refused to disclose. They then learned that Darren was tired of the victim always, somehow, causing troubles and claiming he was never at fault. After going over everything, the team was able to arrest Ursula for the murder.

Surprised by the reveal, the duo approached the vampire who denied everything, confused as to why they were arresting her for a murder she didn't commit. However, as more and more evidences were revealed, Ursula started to sweat more and more, still denying the murder and slowly starting to break down. Suddenly, she screamed as she felt to the floor as something seemed to escape from her and fly away. Krystal immediately called for backup as she and the player ran after whatever flew away was, but weren't able to catch it. They returned to the unconscious Ursula as an extremely worried Melanie Blackmoon approached her friend while Ariella and Peony slowly brought them back at the station. After successfully bringing the supposed killer back to consciousness, she started tearing up, saying how she couldn't understand what was happening. She explained how the last thing she recalled was peacefully having a stroll around when she suddenly felt a cold presence near her. Her head then proceeded to be filled with thoughts, hatred and pure rage toward Peter, only being able to hear that "he deserves to die for what he has done". She then explain how she felt unable to control her own body, how she had gotten one of Alejandra's chupacabra and had unleashed it on her unsuspecting victim, watching as it teared into him, horrified by what she was witnessing but unable to do anything as whatever was inside of her felt proud of this bloody massacre. Chief Lucero, although skeptical, realised that what she was describing was extremely close to someone being possessed by a spirit. They then brought her and Melanie into custody until they could clear the remorseful vampiress of the crime or could discover that she had been lying. With that, the team got ready to hunt whatever had escaped from Ursula's body to discover the real truth behind this case before another murder occured.

As Krystal and the player got ready to leave to potential find the truth behind Ursula's actions, the chief slowly approached them. He then explained, with some annoyance in his voice, that Hunter had, once again, investigated on his own and wanted to meet up near the abandoned barn. However, he also gave them three necklaces that, apparently, would make sure that they couldn't be possessed. After following a horrible trail of deceased animals to the barn, they were greeted by a shaken up teenager who told them that he had seen whatever had gotten out of Ursula's body arrives at the barn but had went into hiding in case it was dangerous. Upon entering the barn with Hunter, who had taken the third necklace of protection, and discovered a hidden chest in a pile of hay. After opening it, they were horrified to discover the remains of a body, organs and all, with the infamous Heart Stringer's invention with it. After sending them to Ariella, she was disgusted to mention that it was the remains of the first of the serial killer's victim and that, after careful examination, she was able to confirm that whatever the demon was, it had taken its power from the horrors that the sickening killer had left behind. She also confirmed that she had found some rotting inside them and, after checking on the chupacabra that had killed Peter, discovered a similar rotting on it where "Ursula" would have most likely touched it. After informing the chief, he exclaimed that even if it was some small evidence, it would indeed clear Ursula. However, he also explained that it would be for the better if the vampiress was to be sent to therapy and some mental check-ups as, even prior to the events, it was clear that she was mentally unwell and that it would most likely help her more. After informing Melanie and Ursula in custody, and Ursula trying to decline the offer, she agreed after her lusty friend told her that she would come with her to them so that she coculd feel safe.

Meanwhile, Diego approached the player saying how he felt like Jack had been acting up since a bit, wondering if the consultant was alright. However, upon checking on him, they were surprised to see that he wasn't at the station. Confused, the team went to the shipyard, hoping to find something that could tell them where their friend went. Once there, they discovered Jack's badge covered by a substance. After sending it to Cato, the lab expert explained that the substance was something that ghost hunter usually used to amplify the effects of their equipment. They then went to ask Oscar if he had seen Jack, on which he explained that he did see a man drop the badge without realizing and that he seemed to have been heading toward the old town. It's there that they found Chapman who, despite not having told anyone why he left, refused to mention why he was acting differently, claiming that it was just a bad day and that he would be better soon, apologizing for the inconvenience.

After Melanie and Ursula left, Melanie having commented on Hunter's presence as mentioning that she didn't know that the police would hire such "a cute little cub" (causing the teenager to blush), they recapitulated all that they had discovered. Now with the knowledge of where their problem had emerged, they decided that they would need to search any leads that was connected to the Heart Stringer's victims as it seems whatever it was had been feeding off of their corpses to gain its ever-growing powers.
