Martriarch of Murder is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the first case of the game and the first case of the game's FBI Edition (Season 1). It is also the first case to take place in New York.
Plot
At FBI's Headquarters, Valerie Black informed the player, that the organization is a top-ranking secret police agency that does not answer to anything but justice by all means necessary and that all that happened inside the agency couldn't leave the agency. The player had no problem meeting the FBI's expectations, so Chief Natasha Steele informed the player about a serial killer murdering in New York streets prior to the player's arrival. The player was then sent to meat the FBI matriarch, Charlotte McNights in the Plaza Hotel to patrol, where they encountered Jessica Lane, one of the players partners.
Unexpectedly, Jessica and the player found the martriarch Charlotte, murdered with a FBI dagger. Danny Cox, the FBI's coroner, determined that the killer stabed her with Harry Poole's dagger. Harry Poole attempted to have Jessica and the player fired after feeling insulted by the player considering him as a suspect. He also said that his dagger was stolen in the Royal Midnight Ball, that happened two days earlier
