Mariah was the first person to discover Richard Martinson's lifeless body in his office. She was there to visit him and found him dead instead. She told the police that Richard and her used to argue very often. She was interrogated one more time about the Morel family. She said that Matthew Morel didn't like his job at Martinson & Son because he knew it was illegal.
Mariah was finally free of murder suspicion when Mindy Morel, Matthew's wife, was arrested for Richard's murder. Mariah asked the team to find some plane tickets she was going to use to go with Richard to Paris one day after the killer's trial. The team didn't find the tickets, but found out that Richard had bought low-quality oak from Steve Zasts for an excessive sum of money. Evan Day told Mariah to take care because Steve Zasts was not a good person. She said ok and that the had already found the plane tickets in her handbag.
