Jerry: Aren't you tired, <Name>? We've been hiding in the wetlands for a week and nothing has happened! There's absolutely no one in this place.
Jerry: Carmela Johnson said that MAFIA hides important things here and that they even have people taking care of them. Then where are they?
Jerry: Besides, we still don't know who the mole in our team that helped MAFIA is. I just really hope it's not you, <Name>.
Jerry: Oh, look, there's a tortoise-
BANG!
Jerry: WHAT THE F-?! Who did that?!
Kevin: I'm sorry, I hadn't seen you! I'm just a hunter, I was aiming for the tortoise.
Jerry: Why would you kill this cute creature? We're working here, go hunting somewhere else.
Kevin: Sorry, I'm leaving.
Jerry: I didn't know there were also hunters in the wetlands. At least there are people here now.
Jerry: Now, if nothing of interest happens, I'll tell Old George that we-
BANG!
Jerry: Argh, that hunter is getting on my nerves! Let's see what's wrong with him, <Name>.

Chapter 1[]

Investigate Evergreen Wetlands
Jerry: <Name>, that hunter is dead! That bang wasn't him, it was his killer! But... there's literally nobody in this place, how could the killer do this? Where are they?!
Jerry: Our mission with MAFIA is over, we need to investigate this murder. I hope Megan has time to perform an autopsy on... What is his name?
Jerry: His ID says he's Kevin Noah. Hm, and... <Name>, wait, why... what are you doing with that chicken???
Jerry: It has some kind of leash. Let me see, chicken. The tag on it says "if found, return to 8642..." and the rest is faded. Can you recover it, <Name>?
Jerry: The chicken may have come with the culprit so it's important. Then there's a bullet on the ground with some white powder. I'll bring our vacuum.
Jerry: Let's also see if you can decipher the words etched on this shotgun sheath.

Autopsy the victim's body
Megan: Excuse me, I'm getting all festive for Halloween with Susana! Right, Susana?
Susana: Trick or treat, <Rank> <Name>!
Megan: We've been to Wales once, the Home of Halloween and we bought lots of jack o'lanterns. I even learnt how to carve pumpkins with only a kitchen knife-
Jerry: That sounds cool even though there's over a week left until Halloween! Maybe we'd like to hear more about it once we're done with Kevin's case.
Megan: Oh, yes, sorry. Can you leave for a while, Susana? I'll tell you when mama is done.
Megan: There's not much to say, the killer shot from a height of sixteen feet so they must have climbed one of the wetland's trees to shoot Kevin.
Megan: No physical contact with the victim. Kevin had some vodka hours before dying. Here is the bullet that I found inside his body.
Jerry: Hm... Let's see what we can get from it, <Name>.

Examine Bloodstained bullet
Jerry: The bullet that Megan found in Kevin's chest is a Yatsukoshi BR-2, and our database says that this projectile is specially designed for rifles.
Jerry: Well, now we know that the killer used a rifle to kill Kevin. Let's write it down and keep our eyes peeled for one!

Examine Chicken's leash
Jerry: The whole adress is 8642 Cedar Way. That's not far from here, we can get there walking! This chicken must come from a farm or something similar.
Jerry: Let's go and see what else we can find there.

Investigate Kate farm
Jerry: Yes, it was a farm as I had thought. The sign there reads Kate farm, I wonder who this Kate is.
Jerry: What is that sketch, <Name>? Hm, it was near that barn and it shows someone's face. It may be just something artistic. It has some green stains.
Jerry: Well, we'll see what they are under a microscope. You want to put those pieces of wood together as well, ah. Go on.

Examine Green substance
Jerry: That substance comes from a plant called scirpus tabermontanii. Doesn't ring any bell. Do you know what it means, <Name>?
Jerry: Austin told you about it? I didn't know you had already met him, <Name>! I've only seen him twice and I joined this team three years ago, so just imagine.
Jerry: The MAFIA vandals had been in contact with this plant in the wetlands, you say. Hm, then let's give this sketch to Annabelle and see what she can tell us.

Analyze Sketch
Annabelle: Psychology couldn't do much here. I think that the person who drew this face may like to focus too much on details because of the lines, which are just little lines connected.
Annabelle: It could also indicate that they are a doubtful person who doesn't rely too much on themselves.
Jerry: But don't you know who it could be?
Annabelle: Even if I knew, you wouldn't be able to interrogate this artist. Kyle helped me with this and he said that this drawing is about a hundred years old.
Jerry: One hundred years? That's more or less around the time that Blue Coasts was founded by the immigrant refugees.
Annabelle: I know, right? So I asked Thomas to help me look for fingerprints and he matched some with those of a woman called Bella Matthews.
Jerry: You know her, <Name>? Oh, she was a suspect of Clive Goldman's murder. And she's also in MAFIA? I think we found someone from the squad Carmela told you about.
Annabelle: They told me that she wants to leave the organization, so don't put too much pressure on her, please.

Have a chat with Bella Matthews
Bella: <Rank> <Name>? This is the third partner of yours I'm meeting...
Jerry: Miss Matthews, we found this drawing in Kate farm. Have you been there recently?
Bella (panicked): WHAT?! Wh- Where was it?! Anyone could have found this! Give it to me!
Jerry: Why do you worry about it? Who is the person in the sketch?
Bella: You... None of you two know? <Name>, you and your partner told me that it never rained but it poured. How long have you been one of us?
Jerry: Er... One month.
Bella: Oh, I see. Well, maybe you'll get to know this face later. Now, if that's all...
Jerry: Wait! Do you know Kevin Noah, a local hunter? He has been murdered!
Bella: No, I don't know him.

Examine Wooden pieces
Jerry: That wooden sign says "Kate farm, property of Robert Kate". It seems Kate was a man after all. If he owns this farm, he must be around here.
Jerry: Let's look for him. After all, we still have his chicken!

Give the chicken back to Robert Kate
Robert: Good morning, officers. Can I help you with something?
Jerry: Um, yes. Do you know a local hunter called Kevin Noah?
Robert (furious): AH, THAT BASTARD! He tried to kill my animals many many times! I hope I never see him again!!!
Jerry: You won't. He has been murdered.
Robert (uninterested): Accidents like that are something that hunters should expect. It's not my problem if he's dead.
Jerry: Fine, I guess that's all so far. Here is your chicken. Take care of your animals or they might get targetted by some other hunter.

Examine Bullet
Jerry: Well done, now that we have this sample of white powder I'll ask Kyle to tell us what it is.

Analyze White powder
Kyle: I found several substances in this white powder, <Name>. Aluminium chlorohydrate, cyclomethicone, parfum, disteardimonium hectorite, gelatin crosspolymer, citronellol-
Jerry: That's great, but... What is that mumbo jumbo about, Kyle?
Kyle: Antiperspirant, of course. Don't you ever read your antiperspirant bottle, Jerry?
Jerry: N-no, not really. And I think I wouldn't remember those names even after reading them. Why was it in this powder-gel state anyway? Isn't it originally aerosol?
Kyle: Hasn't it ever happened to you? When you spray antiperspirant on you but you had already sweated, you see this powdered gel come off like snow!
Kyle: Aluminium chloride compunds do that when they mix with sweat to cover your pores and stop the sweat flow. Anyways, it's also worth noting that this bullet looks like the one Megan found inside Kevin.
Jerry: This is one of the killer's bullets and we know they use antiperspirant now. I bet they'll sweat anyway when you put the handcuffs on them, <Name>!

Examine Shotgun sheath
Jerry: The sheath says Stan Stone. I guess it's the name of its owner, but why was it so near the victim? It's very suspicious, don't you think?
Jerry: I'll call Thomas to ask him. Ehem... Hi, Thomas. Could you give us some info about Stan Stone?
Thomas: Sure. Let's see who he is... Stan Percival Stone, unemployed student, lives in Evergreen Tops, his hobbies include hunting and rafting-
Jerry: Hunting? Say no more! Where can we find Stan Stone?
Thomas: He lives near the wetlands, Jerry, you're not far from him! Walk around until you see him, I'll send a pic of Stan to <Name>'s tablet!

Talk to Stan Stone about the murder
Jerry: Hey, are you Stan Stone?
Stan: Oh dear, you shouldn't scare a hunter like that! I was about to stab you with a tranquilizer dart. Yes, it's me.
Jerry: Stan, we found Kevin Noah murdered today near here, in the wetlands. He was hunting. Next to his corpse we found the sheath of your shotgun.
Stan: He's dead?! Kevin was my hunting partner! I told him to keep my sheath until I finished hunting!
Stan: Maybe another hunter shot him by mistake. Damn, poor Kevin. I still can't believe he's gone!

A while later...

Jerry: We went to the wetlands to ambush a MAFIA squad and stayed there for a whole week, only to stumble upon the murder of a hunter. We found nothing about MAFIA.
Jerry: Well, we found Bella Matthews and a mysterious old drawing. She said she didn't know Kevin anyway.
Jerry: More suspicious are the farmer, Robert Kate, whose animals were killed by the victim... and Kevin's fellow hunter, Stan Stone, who seems to have gone to the wetlands with him.
Violet: Hi, <Name> and Jerry! I saw Susana outside Megan's lab earlier, so I thought there was a new murder victim. Anna told me it was a hunter named Kevin Noah.
Jerry: Hello, Violet. We're investigating his murder indeed. He died this morning.
Violet: Yes, that's why I'm here. His name rang a bell in my head and I remembered that I follow him on Momepix, so I stalked him and saw that he posted a selfie this morning.
Jerry: Really? Let us see, we have to know where he was before he died!

Chapter 2[]

Jerry: Violet, show us the victim's selfie! It may be a good lead in our investigation.
Violet: Yes, here it is! The caption says "Off for some vodka at the bar and then it's hunting day!", see?
Jerry: That's Kevin, yeah. Megan mentioned that he had drunk vodka before dying, it all makes sense. What's this bar's location?
Violet: It doesn't say. Perhaps Thomas can hack Kevin's account or something?
Jerry: We don't have that much time and I'm an impatient person. <Name>, do you think you can find out what venue this is using just the photo?

Examine Kevin's selfie
Jerry: Wow, to be honest I didn't think you could actually do it, <Name>! The place where Kevin drank his vodka is called The Flyer's Pub and it's an aviation-themed bar.
Jerry: Gosh, it sounds so boring. I didn't know Kevin was a pilot or something similar. Our database says that The Flyer's Pub is near the Evergreen Wetlands.
Jerry: There's no doubt, Kevin went there before his killer shot him at the wetlands. Let's go there!

Investigate The Flyer's Pub
Jerry: It seems the bar is closed during noon, <Name>. The door wasn't loocked anyway, so it's a good chance to look for clues.
Jerry: That carton box says "Yatsukoshi BR-2 Rifle bullets". These are the bullets the killer used to load their rifle, <Name>! We have to examine this in detail.
Jerry: Oh, and I'll help you look through the dirt on that ashtray if you want.

Examine Carton box
Jerry: The box was a bit wet. The transparent substance you collected from it might reveal some useful info about Kevin's killer. I'll take the sample to Kyle's lab.

Analyze Transparent substance
Kyle: This transparent substance had other ones mixed. I've already told you about them, alluminium chloride, gelatin crosspolymer, cyclomethicone-
Jerry: Isn't that the killer's antiperspirant?
Kyle (happy): See, Jerry? You COULD remember those names indeed.
Jerry: I just tried to remember the last time I'd heard such boring words.
Kyle: Clever of you. Taking into account the bullets and the antiperspirant, we can be sure the killer touched that carton box and we all know why.
Kyle: The transparent substance itself is vodka, which the killer must have drunk, just like Kevin.
Jerry: They won't be served vodka once they're in jail! <Name>, we're closer to arresting this killer but we need to investigate more, so I suggest going back to that farm where Kevin often went.

Investigate Barnyard
Jerry: Wow, you have a lot of things there! You want to restore this torn canvas, just because it's torn. Well, I'll help you because I'm a good partner.
Jerry: A butterfly net? <Name>, you're practically picking anything up! I'll give you the vacuum if you want those small pieces of dead bugs for whatever reason.
Jerry: And a faded map. Come on! Oh, I see, it has a small signature that says "Bella Matthews". Well, I'll give you the carbon powder and let's see what that gil is up to.

Examine Torn canvas
Jerry: This is a very nice painting of this same barnyard. It has a bunch of people... just messing around, and none of their faces are visible. Hm...
Jerry: Is this a realistic painting? I mean, were these people in the barn in real life? This looks like it was painted from that hut, where the farmer lives.
Jerry: Why don't we ask him? I find it a but suspicious.

Ask Robert Kate about the painting
Jerry: Mr Kate, we found this painting near that barn. Did you paint this?
Robert: Yes, I painted that one month ago, when I saw a group of people like those around that old barn. Unfortunately, the next day I found it all torn!
Robert: I'd left it out there to dry and someone broke my artwork! I thought those people were bad so I stayed in my doorstep, rifle in hand, waiting for them to appear!
Jerry: And... are they still there or...?
Robert: No. A week ago, they suddenly left and I saw them carrying lots of things with them. I didn't paint them just in case.
Jerry: A week ago?! <Name>, that was the squad we were looking for, and they left right when we came.
Jerry (acting innocent): Um... Don't you smell something like antiperspirant?
Robert: Well, it must be one of you because in these farms nobody has used that thing in ages.

Examine Butterfly net
Jerry: This is disgusting but well, it seems people like hunting insects as well. What can we do with this now?
Jerry: Ah, you told me you'd met Austin, right? Maybe we can let him handle this.

Analyze Insect parts
Ousman: Hey, Jackie, long time no see!
Jerry: That's not my name, Austin.
Ousman: Well, that's not my name either. I'm Ousman.
Jerry: How am I supposed to remember such a name when I've only seen you twice in three years?
Ousman: Then how am I supposed to remember yours either... You were <Rank> <Name>, right? Yeah.
Ousman: Fine, <Name>. This made me mad, you know? These insect parts come from a potamanthus idiocerus, a type of mayfly. Why would anyone kill these bugs?
Ousman: I mean, they don't bite or sting, they are harmless! Kyle told me that he could find something on the butterfly net and he found its owner as well.
Kyle: He said his name was Jordi Mills, and he's an aviator who often goes to that aviation themed bar.
Jerry: Wow, thanks. Let's have a chat with Jordi. Thanks a lot, er... Ousama.

See if Jordi Mills is linked to the case
Jerry: Jordan Mills, do you know Kevin Noah, the local hunter?
Jordi: Noah? Yes, I've seen him a few times at The Flyer's Pub, an aviation-themed bar.
Jerry: He has been murdered this morning in the wetlands, when he was hunting.
Jordi: Murdered? It's a shame! I didn't know him very well, I kind of avoided him because of his terrible scent. Some people don't really know antiperspirant exists.
Jordi: He knows nothing about aviation but he loved going there. I'm sorry but there's not much I can tell you about him.

Examine Faded map
Jerry: This is a map of Evergreen Tops, but it's not complete. Let's see, the wetlands would be around here, where this line starts.
Jerry: It goes to the southwest part of the district... Hm, let's ask Bella what this is.

See what Bella Matthews' map means
Bella: What do you want now? What are you doing here?
Jerry: What are YOU doing in the wetlands, Bella? We found this map with your name.
Bella: F*CK, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! Where are you finding all these papers, <Rank> <Name>?!
Jerry: Calm down, they were near the barn. Take care of them if you don't want us to see them.
Bella: It's ok, it's just that... That is a secret. You know I'm trying to leave MAFIA, right? They've sent me here to the wetlands.
Bella: As soon as they turn their heads, I'm escaping from this place full of humidity and bugs! Goodbye forever, MAFIA! That map shows my escape route.
Jerry: So you're going to the, um... the Evergreen Forest?
Bella: Yes! With some vegetables and a bottle of antiperspirant, I'll be able to live there forever.

Examine Ashtray
Jerry: Well, it seems there WAS something inside that pile of ashes after all. It's a very tiny paper and it says... IOU? It's a debt note, cool.
Jerry: Wow, there's Kevin's name on it! It says that a certain Morgan Blue owes 3,000 dollars to him.
Jerry: For some reason, someone hid this IOU. <Name>, let's see where we can find this Morgan Blue guy.

Quiz Morgan Blue about the money he owed to the victim
Morgan: What do you want, punk? I have a rifle in my house and I'm not afraid of going to pick it up.
Jerry: What the- Mr Blue, we're the police. Are you... drunk? You smell a lot like antiperspirant...
Morgan: Heh? I have a rifle in my house and-
Jerry: Mr Blue, did you owe money to Kevin Noah? We found your IOU.
Morgan: Kevin? That f*ggot, he wants to steal my money! If only I could find my rifle-
Jerry: Have some coffee, sir. We'll return later.

Minutes after that...

Jerry: <Name>, according to Robert and Bella's testimonies, that MAFIA squad we wanted to ambush was hiding in that barn near Kate farm.
Jerry: Bella was probably part of the squad but when we got there, the whole group left the place! Only Bella was ordered to stay there.
Jerry: Isn't it weird that they left when we came? It's almost as if...
Thomas: As if someone had hacked us and heard us saying we'd go to the place where they were hiding?
Jerry: Oh, hi Thomas. You mean Montgomery Appleton's hacker, right? I thought you had already taken care of that.
Thomas: No, I can't hack them back and I can't cut their connection to us. But I found something interesting, guys. The last time Montgomery hacked us was not when I exposed his tax evasion.
Thomas: They kept having us on hack until <Name> came to Blue Coasts!

Chapter 3[]

Thomas: Just as you heard. Some years ago, as you already knew, Montgomery Appleton hacked us but actually I could not cut his connection to our network.
Thomas: I checked our network's history and he cut his connection to us last month, one day after <Name> joined us.
Jerry: So he got afraid of <Name> and stopped hacking us?
Jerry: Oh, you're right! That's one day after Mark Hilton's murder, when he got rid of Thomas' old device. He seemed shocked to know Thomas was one of us.
Thomas: So when he found out I was in your team, he stopped hacking us? It makes no sense, I had been his target from the beginning! He knew I was the one being hacked.
Jerry: You're right. When Joey told him we'd been at his house, he hacked us again. Besides, someone probably told that MAFIA squad that we were going to go there.
Jerry: In just one day, they abandoned the barn and took everything with them! Except for that sketch and Bella's map.
Jerry: Is Montgomery in MAFIA or not? Argh, well, first of all, we must find Kevin's killer! Then we'll take care of MAFIA and Montgomery's hacker. Where do we go now, <Name>?
Jerry: The Flyer's Pub, you're right. We know the killer loaded their rifle there.

Investigate Bar tables
Jerry: Mercy me, I hadn't noticed the blood stains on this glass before! What happened in this bar? <Name>, let's put this under our microscope and see who it came from.
Jerry: There's also a napkin with something written, it says "Kevin" and then a part of the text is not visible. Maybe Kevin was as good at deciphering these things as you.
Jerry: Can you examine it and see what it is? I can also take a look at the things on that tray with you.

Examine Bloodstained glass
Jerry: The blood in this glass belongs to Morgan Blue, <Name>! That's the drunk man who has a rifle in his house, do you remember him? I do...
Jerry: What did that guy do in the bar? Let's go and see if he's already sober.

Get explanations from Morgan Blue
Morgan: Have some vodka with me, punk! Let's celebrate.
Jerry: Mr Blue, we-are-the-police. What happened to you at The Flyer's Pub?
Morgan: The pub? Oh, just some quarrel with Noah, the hunter! He thought he knew more about helicopters than me.
Morgan: ME, a person who's been a helicopter pilot for decades! Why can't I get the respect I deserve? Just tell me, why can't I... I'm just trash.
Jerry: Don't cry, Mr Blue, don't cry. I'm sure you're a great pilot-
Jerry: What am I even doing, <Name>... This man couldn't even kill time. Let's leave.

Examine Napkin
Jerry: The text under Kevin's name is just some kind of code. When we have no idea of what they mean, we have to appeal Thomas' help!

Analyze Unknown code
Thomas: I'm about to give up on Montgomery's hacker, <Name>! It's an impossible task!!!
Jerry: Thomas, did you do what we asked you to do? That code on the napkin.
Thomas: Yes, it was kind of easy. It's the cadastral code for a land parcel near the wetlands. There's actually a house in that parcel which is currently inhabitated.
Thomas: The real property is mortgaged by Quest Bluecoaster Bank and the borrower is Jordan Mills, an individual who has been unemployed for five months.
Jerry: That's the man we talked to, <Name>! How does he pay a mortgage loan if he's unemployed?
Jerry: Judging by the note on that napkin, I'd say he was asking Kevin to pay for it! <Name>, let's go and interrogate Jordi.

Question Jordi Mills about his house
Jerry: Mr Mills, we found this note. Were you asking Mr Noah to pay for your mortgage?
Jordi: He had to do it, it was not a favor. He asked me to sell him my rifle once so I said that it had a special value to me but I could help him buy his own.
Jordi: I lent him some money and to give it back, I told him he could pay the monthly installments of my house's mortgage until he'd paid it back altogether.
Jerry: And you've been unemployed for five months?! What else did you use his money for?
Jordi: The mortgage, I promise! And well, a few bottles of vodka at The Flyer's Pub, but that's it!
Jerry: I hope you didn't kill him because he stopped giving you money, or you'll start worrying about your prison cell more than your house.

Examine Tray
Jerry: There's nothing but trash on this tray- You found something? Oh, cool. Let me see that paper.
Jerry: It's torn at the edges, this is not the full paper. It says "Wanted by the Evergreen Tops Police Branch, if spotted call 555-991 and claim to have seen Wanted Criminal 102".
Jerry: Everett's police think they're in a sixteenth-century-themed film. It's a shame we don't have the full poster, so let's ask Hans to see what this is about.

Analyze "Wanted" sign
Jerry: Hello, Hans. Could you see who this wanted criminal is?
Hans: Yes, but I'd like to say that the criminal I want in jail is you, <Rank> <Name>. I'm sure you're our MAFIA mole!
Jerry: Why are you so sure, Hans? I'm starting to think it might be you!
Hans: Tss. I'm busy enough taking denouncements five days a week to be a mobster. The criminal that Sanderson's police is looking for is Stan Stone.
Jerry: That's Kevin's hunting partner! What did he do?
Hans: He hunted in no-hunting zones during no-hunting times in no-hunting seasons.
Jerry: Poor guy, we have to bring him to justice anyway. I hope he can pay that fine, <Name>.

Arrest Stan Stone
Jerry: Stan Stone, you're under arrest.
Stan: Sh*t, I knew you'd find out! I hid as many of those posters as I could!
Jerry: I'm sorry, but law is clear. You should know when to hunt and when not to. You needn't worry though, after a short detention and paying a fine, you'll be free.
Stan: That's the matter, I don't have money for a fine! I can barely afford eating. This is all Kevin's fault!
Jerry: Kevin Noah? What happened with him?
Stan: I've always respected hunting seasons, but that night Kevin insisted on hunting so I put on some antiperspirant, picked my rifle up, and went with him.
Stan: Unfortunately, a neighbor of mine saw me and told the police what I was doing but nobody saw Kevin!
Jerry: So you told him to go to a police station with you and confess.
Stan: Yes, but he said no. I had to take care of all those stupid "wanted" signs even when I went to The Flyer's Pub for some vodka!
Jerry: I'm sorry for you but your actions are yours. You'll stay in a police station tonight.

A while later...

Jerry: Kevin was a naughty person, huh? He got involved in fights at the pub, he hunted during no-hunting season, he hunted farm animals...
Jerry: But we don't know who shot him this morning. <Name>, let's go back to the wetlands and see what else we can find!

Investigate Hunting zone
Jerry: Wow, the wetlands are stunning at night! It'd be great for camping, if only there weren't so many mosquitoes around here.
Jerry: Oh, you found only a pile of branches? Well, let's see what we find.

Examine Branches
Jerry: That's a rifle, <Name>! It must be the murder weapon we've been looking for! I can't believe the killer had hidden it right here, next to these trees.
Jerry: There's a white substance on it... Let's put this under a microscope.

Examine White substance
Jerry: Gelatin crosspolymer, disteardemonium hectorite, citronellol... <Name>, don't tell Kyle I remember these names, but this is the killer's antiperspirant. I'm sure.
Jerry: This means that we might have found the murder weapon! We're going the right way, let's see what else we can find on the rifle.

Examine Rifle
Jerry: Those green things come from a leaf, so I guess, er... Husama will have to take care of it. I can't believe I'll see him twice in a day.
Jerry: Oh, and let's give the rifle to Megan too, maybe she can see something else.

Analyze Leaf bits
Ousman: This is too much work compared with that I'm used to!
Jerry: Sorry for that but we need to arrest a murderer. What kind of plant was that?
Ousman: Urtica dioica, it's the common nettle in fact-
Jerry: Don't tell me there are stinging nettles in the wetlands, Sulman! <Name>, do I look red?
Ousman (furious): My name is Ousman!!! You would've felt your itchy skin this morning if you had touched one! And you look as white as dull as you looked all day long!
Jerry (sweating): Well, um... Sorry for not being able to say your name correctly. We can say the killer has a rash if the nettle was on their rifle, right?
Ousman: Yes.
Jerry: Oh, ok, thanks. Maybe they can ask their cellmate to scratch their skin after <Name> arrests them.

Analyze Rifle
Megan: Uh, here you are! You can stay this time, Susana. Carve that pumpkin while I talk to <Name> and Jerry.
Susana: Ok, mom!
Jerry: There are still ten days left for Halloween, Megan. What will you do tomorrow?
Megan: Buy outfits and candy, of course. You see, the killer avoided leaving fingerprints or any other evidence... except for this little pill inside the rifle's barrel!
Jerry: What is that pill?
Megan: It's a vitamin supplement, and this laboratory produces them according to the weight of the person taking the pill. You get what I mean, right?
Megan: First of all, I'm saying I confirmed the rifle to be the murder weapon. Secondly, now we know the killer weighs under 180 pounds.
Jerry: Thanks a lot, Megan! Maybe they'll lose more weight after eating prison food...

Right after that...

Jerry: <Name>, now we can arrest Kevin's killer! Let's solve the case and leave the wetlands once and for all! I'm tired of those insects and stepping on wet grass.

Arrest killer
Jerry: Jordi Mills, you're under arrest for the murder of Kevin Noah!
Jerry: That was a good rehearsal, huh? Now, let's go and arrest him for real. I've got a good plan to make him confess. He told us his rifle had a special meaning to him, right?

Jerry: Jordi, we found a rifle in the wetlands. Do you know who it belongs to?
Jordi: A rifle? I don't know. Many people in the wetlands have one.
Jerry: It's a long one with a blue logo on it. It's a bit scraped and the sights are about one inch wide.
Jordi (nervous): No idea. I'm afraid I can't help you. Maybe if you give it to me I could look for its owner.
Jerry: Well, leave it alone anyway. Our coroner accidentally broke the barrel and the magazine with our forensic equipment. She's new and she's not used to-
Jordi: WH- WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?! That was a gift from my grandfather!!!
Jerry (happily angry): And it's also the murder weapon you used this morning to kill Kevin Noah! I'm glad to see you've finally remembered whose the rifle is. You are under arrest. You'll be tried tomorrow morning.

Peggy: Thanks for your work, Miss Chashiroua. Anything else you want to add?
Annabelle: No, I think it's already clear that Mr Mills' anger management issues led him to kill someone. He thinks everything revolves around him and that he can decide for everyone else.
Peggy: According to your expertise as well as <Rank> <Name> and Deputy Jerry's investigation, the Court has already got a veredict... if I've read this Criminal Code correctly.
Peggy: Maybe you can explain your motives to help the Court or the police.
Jordi: <Rank> <Name> knows about it. He was paying for my mortgage loan to return me a favor. I was living with his money with no worries, but suddenly it was all over.
Jordi: He paid his debt altogether and I asked him to keep giving me money. I told him I could tell the police I'd found the hunter they were looking for, but only Stan was the one they wanted.
Jordi: So I killed him. I don't have to pay a mortgage for my prison cell, right?
Peggy: Honestly, I've just barely grasped the concept of criminal justice and I'm not an expert in finances but... I think you'll have to keep paying that loan.
Jordi: Oh...
Peggy: Mr Jordi Mills, this Court sentences you to life imprisonment with no chance for parole. Session adjourned!

Jerry: At last, we're done with this case, <Name>! There's nothing in the wetlands to make us stay.
Jerry: You know, I... I just can't believe Jordi thought Kevin should give him money just because he'd given him some in the past. Poor guy...
Jerry: This job is about very tragic things, don't you think?
Annabelle: Hey, guys, has Thomas called you?
Jerry: No, why do you ask?
Annabelle (worried): He called me and told me to go back with you two to the HQ as soon as we could!

Mobsters and hackers 4[]

Thomas: Here you are! Do you remember Gary Perkins, the Townvillian who had hacked us until I hacked him back? Well, I told you I would keep taking a look at everything he had in his computer.
Thomas: I found all the info he had about us. He started hacking us around March, nearly half a year ago...
Thomas: I also found other files that are not from our police station. Can you help me identify the voices in his recordings? To be honest, I'm pretty tired.
Jerry: Oh, <Name>, I need to go and charge the fine to Stan Stone for his unlawful hunting. Could you come with me? James is busy doing something else.

Examine Unknown voice
Thomas: Are you done, <Name>? Who else was Perkins surveilling? This is a certain Lindsey Vain. You say you know her?
Thomas: Oh, she was the digital analyst in your Townville team... So Perkins was also hacking their Police Department!
Thomas: Anyway, why is she in our database if she's from Townville? Did she ever mention being a Blue Coasts citizen? Hm... I'll look for some info about her and I'll tell you once I've finished, <Name>.

Analyze Lindsey's identity
Thomas (scratching head): This is really hard, <Name>. Lindsey is a Blue Coasts citizen but her parents or not. I've been trying to find more info about her in Perkins' files too.
Thomas: It was useless. Maybe I could hack Townville Police's database but I don't know very well how to get to their network. I don't want to waste more time.
Thomas: Why don't you ask her instead? She'll be eager to help if it's for a friend, right?
Thomas (holding hardware pieces): Good! You can use my computer. Here's the webcam and this is the microphone.

Talk to Lindsey Vain on videochat
Lindsey: Hi, <Name>! I thought I'd never see you again! How was your first month in Blue Coasts?
Thomas: Hello, Lindsey! I'm Thomas, the digital analyst in <Name>'s new team-
Lindsey: Wow, <Name>, your new tech expert is way hotter than me!
Thomas: Ehem... Thanks. You see, a man you probably know about called Gary Perkins has hacked us and he had hacked your police department as well.
Thomas: He's good at it. I hadn't noticed until I checked if someone had been actually hacking us. I'll send you the protocol he used as well as all the info he had on your team.
Lindsey: I can't believe Doodley had been hacking us! Thanks a lot, hot boy. Isn't he in your city now?
Thomas: Apparently he never came here in any plane or bus or whatever. Besides, could you tell us why you are a Blue Coasts citizen if you're a Townvillian?
Lindsey: My mother did the papers for my citizenship in the city where her family lives when I was born, but she never told me that city was Blue Coasts.
Lindsey: The only Bluecoaster I know there is my weird uncle Jordi. I didn't know he was in the same city as you, <Name>.
Thoams: Jordi? Is he Jordi Vain?
Lindsey: No, he's from my mom's family, his name is Jordi Mills. Don't you remember my full name is Lindsey Vain Mills, <Name>? If you see that man, stay away from him.
Lindsey: He's interested in hackers and-
Thomas: Hackers?! We've had troubles with hackers, we'll keep talking about your uncle later! <Name>, we don't know where Jordi lives but we know he used to go to that themed bar.
Thomas: If we're going to a bar, why don't we also order some burgers?

Investigate The Flyer's Pub
Thomas: I can't see anything of interest, <Name>. Why did you pick up that deck of playing cards? Oh, it says "Jordi M"!
Thomas: The pack must be really old since it's very faded. Can you recover the drawings and text with your carbon powder from the forensic kit?

Examine Pack of cards
Thomas: Well done, <Name>! I hope I can find more info with the pack's barcode...

Analyze Playing cards
Thomas: I think I know why Jordi was interested in hackers, <Name>! These playing cards were bought by a company that gave them to its employees last December when they went on their winter break.
Thomas: At that time, it seems Jordi was employed. Do you know what company he worked for?
Thomas: Appleton Light Industries! The one that hired a hacker I can't get rid of yet. You know what? I HATE MONTGOMERY!
George: Hey, boy! Do you need to shout like that?
Thomas (exasperated): Yes! I'll let everyone know about it, I HATE MONTGOMERY!
Thomas: Jordi doesn't probably understand much about the matter, so why don't we talk to Lindsey again and ask her what she thinks about it?

Have another chat with Lindsey Vain
Thomas: Lindsey, could you tell us what you know about your uncle Jordi?
Lindsey: Oh, yes. Two or three years ago, more or less, my brother Joshua contacted him. Jordi asked him about me because the company he worked for was looking for a hacker.
Thomas: I knew it- Wait, and you accepted the offer?!
Lindsey: Of course I didn't. I didn't want to see my uncle, I've never liked him. Anyway, Joshua told me later that he had already found another hacker from his city.
Thomas: Didn't he tell you that hacker's name? They're driving me crazy!
Lindsey: I'm afraid he did not. Do you know something about Jordi that you should tell me?
Thomas: <Name> arrested him for murder.
Lindsey: Oh well, sh*t happens. By the way, <Name>, you forgot one of your badges here last month when you left. I'll send it to your new HQ by mail!

Charge the fine to Stan Stone
Jerry: Stan, you're already free from your detention. I'm afraid you still have to pay the fine. Law is clear about when to and when not to hunt.
Stan: Yes, I know. My family has helped me with the money I needed. If only my neighbor hadn't been wandering around the wetlands at night... I mean, what normal person would do that?
Jerry: Didn't you ask your neighbor about it afterwards? A person in such a place at night is always suspicious.
Stan: No, but I always feel like the smell of burnt plants coming from her garden so I think she must smoke some weird drugs. She often stayed in a barn, I think she's crazy.
Jerry: A barn?! <Name>, she must be part of the squad we were looking for. What's her name?
Stan: I don't remember. A few days ago she told me that she would move out and that she'd go somewhere in the forest, can you believe it?
Jerry: Th-the forest? And a barn? Isn't she Bella Matthews?
Stan: No, I don't remember her name but I'm sure it's not Bella. Leave her alone, anyway, she's mad. She even told me that it never rained but it poured, and we were on a sunny day.
Jerry: Stan, what is that woman's adress?!
Stan: Um, she lives next door to me so it's Bayou Boulevard, er... 609 Bayou Boulevard.
Jerry: I'll send it to Thomas in a text message. Now, <Name>, please let's go back to the barn and see if we can find something about this woman.
Stan: Don't forget the fine's money!

Investigate Barnyard
Jerry: Stan said his neighbor must smoke weed or something similar, and we find now a joint in the barn where she was hiding with other MAFIA members.
Jerry: We must find out who she is, <Name>! Let's examine this thing.

Examine Joint
Jerry: Well done, <Name>. That saliva sample will be useful to see who else has been hiding in that barn! Let's give this to Kyle and wait for the results.

Analyze Saliva
Kyle: <Name>, Thomas told me to say to you and Jerry that the adress you sent him is a small house under the name of Hilton & Hilton Club.
Jerry: So that MAFIA member probably received mail from the club as well.
Kyle: Probably. The saliva sample you gave me belongs to a teenager woman, probably with white skin and fair hair, as well as a widow's peak.
Jerry: That must be what most girls in Evergreen Tops look like. If this one's fair hair is natural, then the list will be shorter-
Everett: Here you are! What did you do with Stan Stone? It was MY team's duty to arrest him!!!
Jerry: Well, it's not our fault that you're unable to find a hunter, Everett. Instead of shouting, maybe you should say "thanks for doing my job".
Everett: How dare you... Whatever you're doing related to him, leave it up to my team!
Jerry: We were about to investigate a house, it's 609 Bayou Boulevard-
Everett: I'll be in charge of that. Now, <Rank> <Name>, I found this torn leaflet near the forest on my way here. Maybe you'd like to arrest the person who littered our green spaces? Hahaha.
Jerry: That was so funny, Everett. If you didn't notice, I just said that adress to you to make you do our job! You're right where I wanted you-!
Jerry (sadly shocked): Are you really going to restore the leaflet, <Name>?!

Examine Torn leaflet
Jerry: Does that leaflet interest you, <Name>? Let me read. "Coming soon, a production by Columbia-Joy Studios, Living in a Forest- set in our city's Evergreen Forest".
Jerry: Oh, this is Carmela Johnson's company. Yeah, James told me she had said something about a movie in the forest. Now we know its name.
Jerry: Well, maybe we'll be able to watch it when they release it.

Days later...

Thomas: I promise I'm going to do something bad if I can't get rid of Montgomery Appleton's hacker! I am supposed to be the best one in Blue Coasts.
Jerry: MAFIA is more worrying than the hacker, Thomas. We still have no news about that girl from the organization who lives in the wetlands. Anyway, there's something else.
Jerry: Why did she say she'd go to the forest? We know Bella will hide from MAFIA there. What if they go after her?! Also, there's Carmela, another MAFIA member, shooting a movie in that forest.
Jerry: For some reason, we have now three MAFIA members in the same place! That squad abandoned the wetlands probably to hide in the forest now!
Everett: <Rank> <Name>, we have bad news. That house at 609 Bayou Boulevard was destroyed in a fire.
