—Case Teaser
Lights, Camera, Action! is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the first case in City of Angels and the first case overall. It takes place as the first case in the Dawn district of Los Angeles.
In the bullpen, the player was greeted by Chief Alvarez and his son, Cisco, who cheerily welcomed them to the city of angels. Congratulating them on a successful first case, Ramón asked them to investigate an out-of-control pool party in the Pacific Palisades at the residence of SnapShot influencer Jacob Porter. Due to Cisco's aquaphobia, Emilia Holt agreed to accompany the player. Emilia then dared the player to a challenge: the first to find Jacob was owed a free drink at the Wolf & Crane. A few minutes later, Emilia found Jacob. However, he was floating in his pool, a glass stabbed into his neck. The victim's brother and his girlfriend, influencers Jacob Porter and Lucia Mendez, were questioned, before elderly lady Rita Laguerre (who reported the party) complained about the excessive noise. After hipster coroner Kevin Reed autopsied Jacob to the noises of soft rock, profiler Natalie Hart extended her hand and wrote down a series of notes in her journal about the player (despite being next to them). She then revealed she believed she'd discovered a lead in the case.
