Let's Get Ready To Rumble is a case featured in Criminal Case as the thirty-fifth case of Toomeswood and the thirty-fifth case overall. It is also the fifth and penultimate case in the Kokanee Island district of Toomeswood

Plot

Previously,after Vanessa and the player made the heartbreaking decision to arrest public notary Reggie Cobb for the accidental murder of Toomeswood Animal Shelter owner Grayson Corne which resulted in the cruel Judge Voltaire sentencing the public notary to life imprisonment for the accidental shooting and biker Miguel Esposito's kidnapping which had been arranged by his father, bank manager Fidel Esposito along with his girl friday Zareen Osiria, the team discovered that Miguel may be hiding something from the team. After discovering that Miguel had intentionally provoked masked murderer Miguel Mathers to a confrontation, Jordan decided to investigate what Miguel may or may not be involved in to determine where his loyalties lie but the player found a trail of blood that ultimately led to the butchered body of hustler Adrienna McCallaghan who was discovered in the late serial killer Jason Wickville's manor. Despite Tazia's return to autopsy, she was immediately flagged as a suspect at the start of the investigation.

Mid-investigation, Lucas had informed the team that businessman Paul Greene had mysteriously died of unknown causes and that Kokanee Island had now become an inhabitable wasteland due to rapidly deteriorated crops. Meanwhile, hunter Belinda Campbell led a group of hunters to pillage and ransack all of the island's convenience stores.

Later on in the investigation, Vanessa suspected that socialite Hector Esposito was up to something nefarious as per ghost Lorena Esposito, Hector had removed his shirt. Jordan and the player tracked Hector's location to Dead Man's Lake where he held Miguel at gunpoint and taunted him, challenging the biker to a fight where Miguel had the upper hand by cutting Hector's shoulder, however Miguel's victory was cut short when construction magnate Terrence Latimore hit him on the head with a boulder. After gathering enough evidence, the team finally arrested Terrence for the murder.

Terrence initially refused to confess his guilt to Jordan and the player, even with all the evidence being presented against him and went as far as to invoke an attorney. Suspecting that Hector may have been involved in the murder, Jordan pressed the construction magnate until he finally confessed to the murder but refused to testify on whether or not Hector had been involved in the murder before being shipped to trial. In court, Judge Whiterock lambasted Terrence for attempting to woo Adrienna only to poison, beat up and dismember her and sentenced the construction magnate to life imprisonment whether or not he decided to testify. Afterwards, the enraged Hector vowed to bail him out.

After the trial, Vanessa decided to investigate the rapid decay of the islands to see if she can connect Greene's death to his attack by her father, convict Paul Campbell. Suspecting Third Horseman Lady Famine may have actually hired Terrence to murder Adrienna, Vanessa and the player investigated Wickville Manor and found a cryptex containing a plethora of information which revealed that Paul had continued to be in contact with Lady Famine after his arrest. Vanessa immediately confronted her father who admitted that while he and Lady Famine planned to make the island inhabitable in order to "weed out the weak", he had no involvement in Greene's death but he did admit to ordering Belinda to pillage and ransack the island's food supply. Infuriated, Vanessa stormed out of Paul's cell.

Not long after, Lorena had informed Vanessa that Percey and Luckman's slaughterhouse had been deliberately set on fire where Miguel had been hiding from Hector. The player immediately investigated the shady slaughterhouse where they found a pack of matches that belonged to disgraced socialite Alex Kreeseman who admitted she was hired by stockbroker Diego Esposito and his brother, pawn shop clerk Eduardo Esposito and laughed in Vanessa's face that they were untouchable. After placing Alex under arrest, Vanessa immediately confronted Diego who refused to talk to the team but when the senior detective cracked down on the stock broker, his lawyer Milo Parker threatened to sue unless the team left Diego who immediately lambasted Miguel and to Vanessa's surprise, Hector.

Frightened by Diego's insult, Vanessa and the player immediately investigated the pig carcass freezer where they discovered a bloody pentacle pendant which Vanessa recognized as Miguel's but also recognized traces of speed on that pendant. When Vanessa went to confront Miguel about his strange behaviour, he admitted to having been a former member of the Toomeswood Satanist faction but was removed for his use of amphetamines and it was revealed that he had relapsed once more. Although Miguel was unfazed by Diego's attempt on his life, he immediately confronted his father, bank manager Fidel Esposito for answers as to whether or not he knew of Diego's nefarious scheme. Fidel however revealed that he didn't know anything but laughed in Miguel's face, insulting him. Diego and Eduardo along with Fidel's secretary Zareen Osiria and social media influencer Corey Blackthorne also joined Fidel in mocking Miguel before Corey taunted Miguel with vlogger Brad Ryder going missing. Miguel had attempted to attack Corey but Vanessa immediately stopped him, dragging her boyfriend out of Fidel's home.

After dragging Miguel out of Fidel's hacienda, Vanessa tried to calm him down by finding the ghost of his late daughter, Elanna Esposito so she could help find Brad. The distraught young ghost revealed that Brad was on the hunt for Third Horseman Lady Famine who was revealed to have poisoned Toomeswood's crop supply. Vanessa left Miguel with Elanna to go retrieve Brad who was incensed to the point where he had a backpack full of guns with the intention of killing Lady Famine and revealed that he knew her identity. Vanessa pointed her gun at Brad to stop him from going through a dangerous plot and told the vlogger to let the player subdue Famine only for Brad to shoot Vanessa in the shoulder, grazing the senior detective. Brad also informed the player that he didn't care what happened to him after apologizing to Vanessa and the player before running off.

Meanwhile, Jordan was determined to trace Adrienna's murder to Hector and invested Adrienna's hotel room for clues where the player found a rare crystal necklace which contained Terrence's fingerprints. Jordan immediately confronted Terrence in his cell with the evidence only for the disgraced construction magnate to refuse to answer any of Jordan's questions. Before Jordan could press Terrence, warden Martine Stamphill ordered the team to leave the penitentiary. After Jordan left, Hector immediately confronted the junior detective with the intention of making good on his promise to bail Terrence out and insisted that "some marauder" killed Adrienna. Fuming, Jordan stormed out of Toomeswood Penitentiary swearing that justice would always prevail.

After the events, Vanessa had met up with Miguel who made Vanessa and Elanna a promise to find Brad and bring the vlogger back to his senses in order to properly stop Lady Famine once and for all for her crimes against Kokanee Island.
