Laurean became a gemologist at an early age and went on journeys to buy some of the most precious stones all around the globe. He had a talent making fine pieces of jewellery and his job made him become one of the wealthies personalities in Townville, being his house the only mansion in the Commercial Area district.
Evan Day and the player were going to buy some pieces of jewellery but before they could enter Laurean's shop, Trent Wilson appeared and claimed to have found a dead body there, which turned out to be Laurean himself. The team discovered that Laurean never wanted to see his family because of some shady businesses he was part of, even though they lived in the same place. The case revolved around Laurean's obsession with an ancient gemstone called Queen's Kiss, which became his murder weapon in fact. The killer was Wade Naff, a private investigator and business partner of Laurean.
Wade said that Laurean was always speaking about the Queen's Kiss and that he had forgotten about his family, friends, and job. Everyone was trying to make him realize that the gemstone was in fact an ordinary piece of soil and that life kept passing by. Laurean saw Wade when he was engraving a message in the gemstone and to avoid further problems among them, Wade put an end to his life. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 40 years.
