Lane Harper is a main character featured in Season 1 of Criminal Case, where he serves as the Coral Grove Police Department's Chief of Police.

A 41-year-old former detective, Lane hails from Pelican Bay, Coral Grove, USA and has brown hair and red-tinted sunglasses over his brown eyes. He also wears a suit made up of a black overcoat and vest, and a white collared shirt with a gray handkerchief in his right pocket and a black tie with ornate yellow designs.
Lane is eccentric, polite, compliments people when they deserve it, and goes the extra mile in his work, but tends to take things for granted. Lane likes to play golf and weird people out. It is known that his favorite animal and food are a beagle and hot dogs with ketchup respectively.

Gameplay[]
As the Chief of the Coral Grove Police Force, Lane requires reports from three different "teammates" (friends who play Criminal Case and are recruited to the player's team) before he can let the player advance to the next case of Coral Grove. Besides that, he notifies the player each time they level up in Coral Grove.
The player may choose Lane to join the investigation of each crime scene (in any Coral Grove case) and provide hint bonuses. He is available as a 5-hint partner.
