Jared was just an ordinary guy from the city's Commercial Area. Thanks to his wealthy girlfriend he got to know rich people from the city and even got a job working as a seller for Grand Vine, one of the biggest companies in Townville. He was a very promiscuous person and even having a girlfriend, he would always be on the lookout for another partner to have a casual affair.
The player and Evan Day were on board of a luxury train before it departed and there they found the dead body of a young man. They identified him as Jared Mangrim and started asking their suspects about the victim. He worked as a wine seller for Grand Vine under Gustave Rod's orders. When the team found his cellphone, they discovered that he was the boyfriend of a rich woman called Yale Williams but was also flirting with the train driver, Albert Korfberg.
After a tiring investigation, the team arrested Albert Korfberg for being Jared's killer. He had kissed him to lower his guard and then stabbed him in the back with a rampuri knife. Jared hadn't stopped flirting with Albert even after he explained to him thousands of times that he was heterosexual. Being stalked and under siege by Jared everyday became a nightmare for Albert and after losing his temper, he decided to murder him to get rid of his "stupid gay things", as he said during his trial. Judge Esteban Gonzalez sentenced him to 16 years in jail with parole in 10.
