Hell or High Water is an case that will featured in Criminal Case as the thirty-fourth case of Season 1, and the thirty-fourth case of the game. It is set to takes place in Old Town district of Waterborough.
Upon Diaz's report, the player and Pearson went to the Grimsborough lake to collect the body of a woman named Nancy Stafford, who was found dead inside the trunk of a car pulled from the lake, drowned.
The killer turned out to be a poet named Nathan Gordon.
Nathan had a mental illness and he loved Mary. When Bonnie asked Nathan why he killed the woman he loved, Nathan replied with a strange answer. He said that love, passion and death were all similar and murder was the highest form of desire. Since Nathan had a mental illness, Judge Raymond sentenced him to 15 years in jail, accompanied by a psychiatrist.
