Wings to the Hell is a case featured in Criminal Case as the 168th case of the game and the 76th case of the Secrets from Beginnings (Season 3). It takes place in Toxic Banks, a district of Fario as the first case of the district.
Plot[]
After LUMIA got their paws on the movie and the final operation being, Chief Filpovich ordered an ugent meeting. On the meeting he expressed a giant concern about the situation and how it seems that everything the department do eventually break out of control. He sighed, saying how is important that now, more then ever before team needs to be united in order to stop everything and return city the former glory. Arif then said how he tracked the virus in Toxic Banks and with the fact that they now face unleashed force of Nerocious Chief Filipovich decided to send both Mia and Leonidas in the heart of lawless territory to try to locate anything of use. While the team, together and close too each other started to patrol and entered the district who burning and with sirens of the hospitals always hearing the progressed further until they came to the district center, the apocalypse square where the Gluficer, a bring green horse with shinny red eyes was. The team quickly realized that someone is laying there and as they approached the team found the headless body. Using the fingerprint recolonization software they found out that the victim is a serial killer Miriam Young, better known as Le Papillon.
After sending the body to Matilda the team started the investigation. Still in thee aftershock they discovered that a psychology student Dominique Stern was in the district looking for his thesis of the lawless district and the human behavior under the fear of criminals roaming around. During their investigation they also encounter a pseudo historian Quintus Titus before crossing their path with a strange girl Monica Hoax who said how she likes the burning world. After the autopsy, Matilda chucked and said how it's ironic for a serial killed to die from the same weapon they used in the glory days as she said that he head was cut of by a very sharp cleaver but that the killer wasn't that sharp eyes as they left some of the fur on the neck, a dog fur leading to the conclusions that the victim owns a dog.
After the team left the morgue and went to recap the case, chief approached them and said how the mayor wants to speak to them. Maybe Otto Kessel then expressed his concern for the situation and promised that he would help, starting from this case as he said that during all the crises he made a deal with Miriam about her telling everything about the organization and be transferred to another country and that she was supposed to be in her safe house behind the local pizzeria. the team visited the area and discovered that the pilot trainee Demi Grande visited the victim as the pizza deliver woman as her part time job outside her training to be a pilot. The team soon discovered that Dominique used to stalk the victim that he described as the observation of the retired serial killer's behavior for his thesis before Monica was approached again after she argued with the victim where she said that she thought how the victim planned to kill her as she fit the criteria of her victims.
Mid-investigating, as the team observed the area in hope to find anything they noticed a terrified Quintus running towards them as he said that they follow him and that Miriam's killer are coming after him. As the team calm Quintus down he explained that his past was dark as he said that he used to be part of the now-dissolved LUMIA's branch Illuminated Minds but that his decision to leave let him to the deep paranoia and ever since that day he walked away from everything but now that Miriam is dead for betraying LUMIA he thinks that he would be next. As well they discovered that Demi had a very negative opinion about the victim and constantly felt watched and uncomfortable due to her past and that one time she even threw her brush towards the victim in panic before discovering that Otto and the victim needed to meet again but that her death stopped that.
Finally, with all evidence discovered the team was ready to arrest Demi. Upon admitting her crimes, Demi pulled her hair, saying that it was needed to be done. She sighed and said how she did what she did because of the blackmail. She expressed how for the long time she lived as orphan, moving from families and families until she arrive in the family Grande who accepted her with the open arm and hospitality. She sat down on the char, saying how she loved them as her biological family and felt as one with them but then the darkness veiled the city when Illuminated Minds raised from ashes and LUMIA stepped out. Her eyes shinned from tears as she said how her family had some deals with those organizations and how her mother was very worried for her safety so her parents send her in the suburban area to be with relatives but one day when she returned home only thing she was able to see was gore and blood stained walls from her parents and a shady figure standing behind her. She said how she tried to fight but that the figure were stronger and got her in the corner with a raised cleaver and said that they are Nerocious. They smirked as they approached and said that if she doesn't want to face the same faith she will join them and do jobs for them and the organization. Feared for her life and the shock of the scene without any thing and while looking at the sharp edge of the blade she accepted but never realized how deep she would get herself into. She then said how she was sent in Church Valley to be propaganda machine as the newspaper girl before being sent to be pilot trainee in Airport district so she could monitor drug shipment that she confessed was sadly successful and that some small portions were sent across the border before saying how after that she got promotion and became a silent assassin. She wiped her tears and said how she was then tasked to kill off LUMIA members who were exposed as traitors, starting with Miriam. She then said that they would get her off asylum and lure her to come here, in the lawless district and that she will use same method to kill her that she used to kill her victims. Mia and Lorenzo then cuffed her hands as they sent her to the trial where Judge Gilmore sentenced her to 50 years in jail for the murder, hiding the evidence and affiliation with the criminal organization.
After the trial, Lorenzo and Mia recapped Demi's motive and remembered how mayor said that he got her transport o this district. In confusion a trio decided that is time to comfort mayor about his lies. The team then visited Ottto in his office and asked him if what he said earlier is true, connecting it to Demi's motive. Otto sweated a bit before gulping and saying how that was lie as he said that he was inn alliance with LUMIA and how he exchanged Miriam for his life, which was the reason why he was never killed when Solomon proclaimed himself a king of Fario. He then said how he regrets that even since and that he will help to take down LUMIA before saying that Miriam knew some things about LUMIA from Stella's notes. Still finding hard to believe him the team decided to visit Miriam's safe apartment again and there discovered a hidden drawer where inside they found a black book with the lock. After unlocking it the team encounter a strange symbols and writing. Unable to tell what it could be they sent the notebook to Arif who managed to decode something as he said that this notebook contains lots of information about the dictator or Europe Francisco Leskov and his connections to LUMIA and Stella who was the initiator of everything that started before saying how some notes mentions the federal agent Dagger King and how he need to be put under control for good. The team then spoke to him in order to discover more on what he said that FBI currently goes through the crises and that the crises they went true were used by new European government to pressure FBI to send some funds and people but also lots of data and documents to LUMIA and Nerocious who then would've share them with Aqucuius. He then also mentioned that the movie the team had is not in Nerocious' hands and that will use it any second before saying that he left his briefcase at the Apocalypse square and that there is some notes that could help the team to receive the immunity to the hypnoses of the movie. After searching the mentioned square and finding the briefcase the team searched through it and found a covers of the same book that Quintus had. Realizing that Quintus isn't so crazy after all the team apologized to him and asked for help on what he gladly accepted, saying that they will fix the city together and that they will defeat the evil once for all. Once they found the pages they needed in his book the team him thanked him before he waves and disappeared in the night. They then decided too return and inform Chief Filipovich that this battle is battle that LUMIA will loose.
In the meantime, the team was approached by Monica Hoax who said that she lost something important her her friend Monica Castillo while passing the looting street and from fear to not get into more trouble asked the team if they could help her and that if they find it they could meet her with Monica in the local saloon. Mia accepted and with the player went back to the streets to see what they need to find. After searching a little team found a silver handbag and torn blueprint. After searching through the bag the team discovered that inside the bag was a silver locket. After that the team visited the saloon and found Monica as they showed her the locket that she accepted with the tear in her eyes, saying how she asked Monica to make this locket for her soulmate Celine Harper.
After finishing that the team then returned eyes towards the torn blueprint that ended up to be a prion cells blueprint with LUMIA's insignia and a text "the secrets will be revealed". After all that the team showed and told Chief Filipovich what they found as he said that now is the key moment and that they can't let Nerocious use the movie he now hands the hands of as he said that the player and Mia would need to hurry up to the prison and see what secrets are mentioned to happen there.
