Xerda’s On Fire! is a case featured in Criminal Case. It takes place in the Saint Teufel district of Grimsdale.

YOU ARE NOT MIA.

A month after last case

Mia and Rozetta are seen running in the Xerdan Forest, armed with weapons. Mia who had no idea what they were rushing for, have had enough, stopped, and asked Rozetta what is going on. Rozetta explained that as a Xerdan woman, her soul is connected to the city and that she sensed that it was in danger. The two reached the hidden route of the city and entered it. A couple of minutes later, they arrived to the city and were surprised when they saw it was in flames. Mia and Rozetta went closer to the city, and decided to go to inspect it where they found its Queen, with a flag impaled into her body.

YOU ARE MIA

Rozetta was shocked by seeing her mother killed and had mixed feelings toward her death. Suddenly, Princess Xenia caught her and Mia and demanded they tell her what they’re doing in the city, where she saw her mother’s corpse and accused both Rozetta and Mia of burning down the city and killing the queen. Eventually the duo called her down and she gave them permission to investigate the murder and inspect the palace, where she added two more suspects other than Xenia: Stunning and Otto, the palace’s slave. Rozetta and Mia decided to stay at the balcony a little, when Rozetta then felt a pebble being thrown at her.

The pebble came from her friend, Johanna. Mia and Rozetta went to speak to her and asked her whether she or any member of the Pro-male Xerdan movement were responsible of the arson, where Johanna shook her head and then informed the duo that the queen set up a camp for The New Olympians in the city, which the duo looked through and added Norman Min to the suspect list. The duo also learned that the queen planned to force Otto into joining Norman’s army as a mindless soldier and that she was planning to sack Johanna from the Xerdan army out of grudge of her sister’s actions. Mid-investigation, Xenia along a couple of guards came to the duo and told them their time is up.

Just when Xenia was about about to capture Rozetta and Mia, out of nowhere, an Iris message from Hamilton came, who “confessed” he committed the arson and killed the queen and he’s waiting for the Xerdan’s to capture him in the forest. Xenia who desperately wanted to kill Rozetta, refused to believe Hamilton, but knew she can’t capture her now unless she “confessed”. Neither the duo believed Hamilton’s word, and so they decided to continue the investigation, where they learned that Princess Xenia wanted to take over Xerda for herself, instead of sharing it with her mother and that the queen was about to send a death warrant for Johanna, shortly before her death. In addition, they learned that the queen was doing sexual advances on Norman, which he was annoyed at. The killer turned out to be Otto.

Otto tried the best he could to deny killed Penthesilia, but ended up admitting it along the fact that he is a brother of Rozetta. Otto revealed that the queen grew tired of having children who would wind up rebelling against her expectations, so she decided to get a child who she could raise to be like her. Penthesilia then raped one of the males the Xerdan captured, where she got pregnant and after she went to labour, she was furious when she gave birth to a boy, Otto. Penthesilia executed Otto’s father, and told a couple of Xerdan guards to go to the surface and raise Otto to become an easily-manipulated slave. Otto always wondered who his parents were and dreamt of meeting them one day, and once he learned that Penthesilia was actually his mother, his heart was full of rage, and so he decided to kill her. Rozetta and Mia went to Xenia, who was on a panel, holding Hamilton, with a large pot of boiling oil at front of her. When presented with Otto, Xenia held him by the neck and pushed him into the pot, frying him to death. Rozetta was horrified by the scene, and started shouting at Xenia, and told her to let Hamilton go now as they have caught Penthesilia’s killer, where Xenia told her they may have uncovered the killer but not the arsonist, giving Rozetta an ultimatum: Either she confesses to the arson and gets killed, or let Hamilton take the punishment. Before Rozetta could make her choice, Johanna stepped into the stage and challenged Xenia into a sword match in the arena, where the one who survives takes the Xerdan crown and decided the “arsonist”’s fate. Upon hearing of the challenge, the crowd started cheering, and Norman who was watching started becoming nervous. Xenia, confident she would win, smirked and accepted the challenge.

Worried about Johanna’s fate, Rozetta and Mia decided they should talk her out of the challenge. A maid called Raquel, then came whispering to the duo, telling them she has something to tell them.

Rozetta and Mia went to talk to Raquel and asked her what information she had to them, where she looked around the perimeters. Assured that no one is walking, Raquel told Mia and Rozetta that she once eavesdropped at Xenia, where she caught her Iris-messaging Norman, telling him that they need to do something to Xerda to lure Rozetta and kill her. When the duo heard that, they realized that Xenia and the New Olympians may be responsible behind the arson. Not wanting to get any of the maids in danger, Rozetta decided they should not confront Xenia and Norman, yet, in fear they’d talk their way out of the accusations, and instead, they should search the New Olympians’ camp to prove them. Rozetta and Mia searched the camp where they found a bag made of natural material, which they searched and found pieces of paper, which after fixing, it showed a picture of a molotov cocktail, with the caption “Oscar, make this so we can burn Xerda to the grounds, Norman’s order. -Summer xoxo”....

Rozetta and Mia knocked on Johanna’s door, waiting for a reply. Johanna opened the door and let the girls in, where they begged her to call the challenge off, which she refused to do. Johanna then told the duo that she wasn’t sure that she’ll win herself, and told them they need to find a way to free Hamilton from his cell, along all the male prisoners, who Xenia is planning to hand over to the New Olympians. Rozetta then remembered that her mother kept a key for the dungeons at her room, and by searching it up they could find it. Rozetta and Mia then searched the room, where Mia pointed at a tilted painting which showed a safe it was hiding. The two unlocked the ancient safe and searched it, where they found the key. After finding the key, the two went to the dungeon, where Rozetta fought of the guard and knocked her out, while Mia searched for Hamilton cell. After finding it, she unlocked it and gave Hamilton a huge hug, asking questions such as how he knew they were in Xerda and told him she knows everything that happened in Saint Franklin, assuring him she still sees him the same way as she always did, and then moved to set the other prisoners free....

Before going to watch the Johanna V/S Xenia match, Rozetta, Hamilton and Mia decided to have a walk in the garden, when suddenly, Rozetta felt something on her pocket. Rozetta turned and saw a vine holding the paper that proved that the New Olympians were behind the arson. The trio then acted astonished when they saw both Summer and Oscar at the garden. Summer then swallowed the paper, before smirking at Oscar telling to do what has to be done. Oscar then used his power to shine as bright as a sun, giving Summer the power to take power over every plant in the garden and summoned plant-like monsters from the soil. The trio struggled to fight against the monsters and Mia realized she had to do something. Mia then decided to use all the power she had in her body in order to fight Summer for control over the plants, making Summer laugh at her, telling her she had no chance against a goddess like her. Eventually, Mia ended up being in control, where she made a rose grow so tall, she used its stem cover Summer’s entire body, and then added a little more power to sharpen its thorns. Mia then let Summer fall, who had pores all over her body, blood coming out of all of them. Oscar tried to heal her, but he had used up all his power to strengthen her, leaving him no choice but to run off. The trio then stared at Summer until she died of blood loss.

After Summer was killed, the trio went to the arena, which was crowded with Xenia’s supporters, while Johanna’s friends were nowhere to be seen. Rozetta, Mia and Hamilton tried to explain that the New Olympians were responsible fir the arson, but the crowd who were biased against Rozetta laughed it off, and Norman along two guards came behind them and restrained the three from doing anything. This left Johanna by herself fighting against a gorilla-like girl. The fight then began, while Xenia was much stronger than Johanna physically, she was unfortunate to have a very slow speed, thanks to her geared-looking biceps, this gave Johanna the upper-hand, since while she was able to swing her sword freely, all what Xenia could do was show off her blue armpit hair to the crowd. Xenia then managed to capture Johanna around her arms, but not for long as she had no choice but let her free after the girl bit hard into her muscles. The fight then continued, until Xenia grew tired, and Johanna swung her sword one more time into Xenia’s head, decapitating her. Johanna then held the head from Xenia’s braid, flexing the head to the crowd, who started booing. Johanna then spotted Oscar climbing up, outside Xerda, and decided to give him a scare by throwing the head to his direction, making him freak out and fall into the ground. Oscar didn’t have enough power in him to heal himself, so he was left nothing to do except lay into the floor until he died.

Xenia’s fan started protesting against Johanna becoming the queen, and one of them decided they should kill her. Hamilton then kneed Norman to his jewels, and ran up to Johanna and asked her if they should set the signal. Johanna then yelled “XERDANS! COME OUT!”, where suddenly on the back of the stage, a trapdoor opened where a huge number of Johanna’s supporters and the former prisoners came out, with weapons, and fought off the neon-haired she-hulks in the audience seats, and killed them limb-by-limb. Norman who was still in floor in pain, realized how serious the situation is, and told the charm-spoken soldiers he was with to let go of the girls and carry him all the way to the camp, as their leaving Xerda as soon as possible.

After getting rid of the evil Xerdans, Johanna arranged a feast at the palace and invited all the good Xerdans, former prisoners, Rozetta, Mia and Hamilton over, where the Xerdans started slow dancing with each other, and a few did with the males. Hamilton then got a text. Rozetta and Mia asked him who it was from, where he revealed that it was from Joe Warren (whom he came across during his exile from Saint Teufel) and that he says that Mayor Cardwell has been murdered.
