Plot[]
The team, upon hearing Johanna Carr's exclamation, hurried through the tunnel, and found Mine Foreman Clayton Rose dead, with a shovel sticking out from his head.
the team quickly added miner Damien Shove to the suspect list, as well as runaway Braydin Goodwin.
Soon after, the team investigated the cave outsides and added the Victim's neice Elisa Rose to the suspect list
Shortly after, the team was alerted to Matt Barry (AR) running out of the cave, so the team then rush out to find this runner.
So they investigated the nearby forest adding Matt to the suspect list, and spoke with Braydin who said Clayton wanted to have him be a miner, something Braydin did not want at all.
Later, the team investigated the cave outside again, where they added Harold Harper to the suspect list, as well as speaking with Damien again, Damien said that Clayton saw him smoking marijuana, and fired him on the spot.
The team then heard someone was causing a disturbance on the crime scene.
Upon arrival on the scene, he team found Elisa tampering with the scene, Elisa explained she didn't want Foreman Rose's killer found. She explained that Clayton was going to force her to be a miner, just like Braydin. He took them in and forced them to be miners, and that is why she's glad Clayton is dead, though she claims she didn't kill him.
After arresting Elisa for tampering with a crime scene, the team investigated the forest and spoke to Matt again, who said he was a borderline slave, he said Clayton forced him to be a miner for months, and when Matt tried to escape from that, Clayton said he'd make sure Matt would never get another occupation, tying Matt to the mines. The team also spoke to Harold, who said he wanted to be the mine foreman, he explained hat Clayton was using his power to tie many people to the mines, he controlled a empire of nearly unpaid workers, and Harold had enough of that.
The team arrested Damien for the murder, Damien eventually confessed that he did it because he had been suggling emeralds to see to some powerful men, this went well for a while, until Jon Horroson trapped them in the caves for a while, which meant the powerful men were getting impatient, and Damien was fired, he needed his position to see them those emeralds, so he killed Clayon to hide the fact he was fired. When asked about the emeralds he'd been accumulating for a month, Damien said he gave them away shorty after taking the Foreman's life.
He was put into custody, as there was no court nearby.
Afterwards, the team wanted to find the person that Damien was smuggling the emeralds to find out why the men were so desperate in wanting the emeralds. So Elaine and the player checked the crime scene and discovered a crate, which, by Raymond Tremor, was confirmed to be a crate that held emeralds, and some emissions from this crate showed that the emeralds were extremely powerful and maybe even radioactive. They then asked Harold Harper why they were mining these emeralds, and Harold said that these specific emeralds were extremely powerful. He explained that the factories and industrial areas want these emeralds for a lot of power.
Searching the forest again, the team found a ripped letter, that once translated, revealed that the emralds were being sent to a mountain top
Meanwhile, Ayda Boxer approached the player and told them that she had a suspicion about Matt Barry. She didn't trust the guy, which is why she decided to track his movements after the investigation was over and discovered that Barry found something very powerful, he emissions implied as such.
So the team went and questioned Matt for this, who angrily told them that these emeralds were powerfil, yes, but he didn't care about that. He just wanted to see some of these emeralds so he could finally stop living in the slums, where being homeless is better than having a house on the brink of collapse. He geave the dead the emerald he had, and said he'd never forget this.
After all this, the team decided to head to the mountain that Harold mentioned.
