Earl was born and raised in the city's Cultural Center with his rich family and attended lessons in one of the most expensive schools at the time. This experience resulted in him being a very big-headed person with a very high concept of himself. He still lives with his parents' money but got a part-time job at a convenience store in the Commercial Area.
The player and Evan Day were having dinner at a luxury restaurant when suddenly a head was served instead of a birthday cake for a customer called Fabiana Jose (Earl's girlfriend). The head belonged to a murder victim called Joey Carel, so Fabiana was treated as a suspect. After Earl appeared next to her, he became another suspect as well and he said that he was there only to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday. Fabiana said that Earl and her went to that restaurant very often.
Earl kept looking for information about the restaurant with his cellphone and then talked the team about a cold case in that very bistró. A waitress had served the severed head of a customer (much like the case the team was investigating in that moment) and was sentenced to life imprisonment. After that, Norma Zouday, the restaurant's owner, tried to sell the place but nobody wanted to buy it and health inspectors were afraid to go to the bistró since they thought they could find another dead person.
After he became very suspicious in the case, he confessed to having attacked Joey and cutting his arm when he found out he was dating Fabiana, but he said he hadn't severed his head. However, he was proved to be innocent when Nadine Victoria (the restaurant chef) was arrested for Joey's murder. She even said that Fabiana was dating Joey in the Court and Earl pretended not to know, even though they carried on with their relationship after that.
In this case the victim was Yale Williams, the president of Green Year Parade's jury. Since Earl was one of the other members of the jury, he was a candidate to become the next president. Gino Reina read about it in a newspaper article and also mentioned that Earl worked as an employee in a bank. Earl wouldn't win because the jury would agree to choose Carlton Klovan as the new president.
