Can't See The Forest is a case featured in Criminal Case as the fifty-second of the game. It is the fourth one that takes place at Odyssey Gardens in New Cresthill.

Plot

Splitting up to ruin Ian's planned escape by Lucifer and Herod, Rachel and the player went to block the forest that joined Thunder Woods with Odyssey Gardens. There, they both found the body of the ex-convict Mike Forest without his eyeballs and impaled on a tree. They questioned Sacred Heart University's student governor Torsten Stirling, reality star Pietro Darwin, and provisional detective Detheroc Morgan. Soon after, Rachel thought she saw Ian running through the woods, so she ran after him.

Rachel stopped in front of a camper before losing track of Ian, so she decided to inspect the interior. They suspected provisional lab chief Elizardo Vogel and lawyer Casey Villafuerte as well as discovering that Pietro ran into Mike while he was running alongside someone with a sack on his head and, Torsten had found out that Ian was going to escape prison but could not tell the police before they started looking for him. Knowing that Ian was no longer with Mike, Rachel worried that he might be kidnapped by Lucifer or Herod, however, at that moment Herod and Lucifer came down from some trees and shot both of them with tranquilizer darts. Rachel and the player woke up tied to a log heading to a sawmill. Before they could be cut, Detheroc arrived and rescued them. Both asked him how it was that he arrived and he revealed that he had gone to look for them since they had not returned to the station. Following the strong scent of Rachel's perfume, Detheroc arrived at the sawmill where he found Herod. Detheroc managed to shoot them in the leg but before he could unmask them Lucifer rescued them. In addition, Casey was seeing Mike frequent the orphanage where his daughter had been taken, after Judge Blanton had changed her sentence, from the day of her arrival and, Elizardo had among his belongings the key to the cell in which Ian was. Finally, the team arrested...
