Bloodless Bite is a case featured in Criminal Case as the first case of Return of the Supernatural. It is the first case to take place in the West.

Plot

Nine years after Season 7, The player returns to the Supernatural Hunters's team, just in time to solve a vampire attack at the Diamond Crest Cemetery in Johnstonville with their old partner Gwen Harper-Cromwell. There, the two find the body of high school sophomore and restaurant waiter Cole Nylund, who has been aggressively attacked and drained of blood by a vampire.

Begining their first investigation back together, Gwen and the player find a medallion belongling to Gwen's vampire partner Pierce Cromwell, labeling him a suspect. Pierce tells them that he and other vampires regularly go to the Blood Red Diamond buffet resturant (where the victim worked) and he eventually told Cole that he was a vampire and that he promised to keep the existence a secret. Pierce then suggest that they investigated in the Blood Red Diamond since Cole worked there. While there, the team finds more clues that prompt them to talk to the victim's uncle Moose Nylund and friend Darlene Warren, who are both grief-struck by the news. As Gwen and the player are reviewing what they know so far, they are interrupted by none other than Fabien de la Mort, who is filled with joy to see the player again.

The player catches up wit Fabien, who is now the new leader of the vampire coven. When Gwen tells him about the murder, he claims that he only knew Cole was keeping the existence of supernatural secret, but never really met him. After that, while investigating the victim's school, they find a security camera and Cole's cellphone. They learn from a texting with Pierce that Cole was starting to feel pressured about keeping the secret about vampires existing. And they watch the security, which shows a conversation with Cole and Darlene, turns out to be a vampire who was bitten in a supposed triple vampire attack in the mid-1960s. When the player and Gwen confront Darlene about this, she confesses that she and Cole were in love with each other, but she was afraid that being with a vampire like her would ruin Cole's life, so she tried to shoo him away. Later in the investigation, the player encounters a new suspect, high school junior Colleen Flannery, who (rudely) says that she and Cole were mere acquaintances in school and the Blood Red Diamond. While going through what they know so far, Gwen and the player hear that there's a panicking crowd at the Blood Red Diamond and need to hurry to calm them down.
